RoxyTorrance, CAHairMedium BrownOily HairFine or Thin HairBest Flat Iron Ever!I purchased my HAI over 6 years ago and I still love it. Although, I have bought a new one (T3 from Nordstrom) I still love my old HAI. It works great, even after constant use for over 6 years and it's still the best at really making my hair straight and shiny. I am Latina with someone wavy hair and I recommend this flat iron to anyone who wants great beautiful straight and shiny hair.posted Jul 21, 2011Link to this post

DBrooklyn, NYHairAuburnNormal HairColor Treated HairFine or Thin HairGreat QualityI've had this iron for over 4 years and it's still going strong! I use it about once a week, and depending on the humidity, the results last several days. One of the best purchases I've made on this site since I got a great deal and mine came with a heat resistant sleeve to store it in!posted Jul 20, 2011Link to this post

JessieUnited StatesHairDark BrownDry HairColor Treated HairAmazing!I have had this flat iron for over six years now. I am purchasing a new one ONLY because I have dropped it, I don't know how many times, and this last time resulted in one of the plates popping out. I thought it was justified buying a new one since I've had it for over six years. I am SHOCKED by others reviews about the blue coming off the plates, and about it taking a while to heat up after months of use. I have never, ever experienced any of these problems with my flat iron and I have used it once a day for the past six years (okay, there has been a few 'lazy' days where I didn't), but I have definitely got my moneys worth from this flat iron. I just bought a new one, and I'm hoping it is the same quality as my previous! I can't believe that this iron has held up with me dropping it on a laminated CONCRETE floor several times, and I was sad, but not surprised that this final time knocked out a plate. I'm assuming those that have experienced problems with their flat iron received a defective one, because I just triple checked the plates, and I do not see one tiny evidence of wear and tear. I'm still going to use this one until I receive my new flat iron, as it heats up just as quick, it's just a pain because the plate will not stay in place. I have and will continue to recommend this flat iron to anyone that is looking!posted Jul 18, 2011Link to this post

LydiaHairBlondeCurly HairThick or Coarse HairWorked Fine... For A While...I have very thick, and very curly, blonde hair. This flat iron worked great with my hair and left it soft and straight for the most part. It was a real improvement from my last flat iron. I straighten my hair almost everyday and after about 7-8 months after i started using this flat iron, it started making my hair looked damaged and fried. It could've been just from not using the RIGHT heat protectent, but i did use it. Now it has been almost exactly one year after i bought and started using this flat iron, and I can no longer use it. It dosen't heat up all the way anymore, or as fast as it used to. Also, the blue of the heat plates got scraped away.? Though i did not do anything to it... It was from just my hair? I included a picture of this... It also left an unpleasant, burnt smell to my hair after straightning. I am now getting a new flat iron... and throwing this one away.

Jenni A.South BeachHairNormal HairOily HairDry HairCurly HairColor Treated HairFine or Thin HairThick or Coarse HairRelaxed HairChemically Treated HairBest Flatiron Ever.I have had this iron for almost 7 years and only because I dropped it (more than once) do I have to replace it. It heats up in less than a minute, straightens even the most unruly and coarse hair and gives an incredibly sleek look. The plates are pure ceramic through and through, no metal with ceramic coating. The only thing I would watch out for is the temperature gauge. I am a hairstylist, and I was trying to finish someone's hair right away so I put it on 400 (cookies anyone?) and I hurt this woman's hair. I must add that she lied about whether or not she had a chemical straightening on top of her hair color. But she had mangled her hair before I got to it. Luckily, an experienced hairdresser knows how to treat any type of hair, and she just needed the heat setting lower and not so much pressure between the plates when straightening. Most women can use it at mid-level heat and it straightens instantly. I've let my hair air dry curly and flat ironed it when it was dry and it looked amazing. It's called the convertable because it converts to European voltage, but I would suggest using a different one when you travel in case the place you are connecting it to has faulty electricity. The standards are different everywhere else.posted Jun 22, 2011Link to this post

It finally gave out one month ago (it wouldn't heat up unless I played around with the cord, and that was a hassle). Anways, I bought the same exact one, and it's perfect! I love how you can flat iron very close to your roots, and it leaves your hair very nice, straight and smooth! I absolutely love my HAI Flat Iron!
