DenaHuntington Beach, CALove It!I've gone through many different hair straighteners through out there years. I've always wondered how my hair still came out so frizzy and gross when everyone else's looked so nice. I talked to a friend that does hair and make up and asked her what she suggested I buy. She told me she bought a Hai 3 years ago and STILL loves it and she swears by it. I tried hers and fell in love immediately. I bought my own and i'm even more in love with this flat iron. I highly suggest any one looking for a good quality flat iron to get this one. It's amazing and a really good price!posted Aug 29, 2010Link to this post

Very H.San Francisco, CAHairDry HairCurly HairThick or Coarse HairThe Best I've Usedthis straightener works wonders for me.. i've had it for almost 4 years now and its still going strong!! i keep it safe in the free casing i received, and i can't live without it. once it stops working, i'll probably get the same thing again. before this, i went through about 3 or 4 hair straighteners. can't ask for anything better!
I have the worst hair too.. it's really thick, and always gets super frizzy, but this gets the job done.posted Aug 28, 2010Link to this post -
NaomiPortland, ORHairDark BrownNormal HairCurly HairEhh...I got this straightener after my Sedu broke (my sister used it in Israel and the electric currents are different there) because it was a lot cheaper than the one I had before. Personally I kind of regret it, I think that the Sedu was much better and it was a lot easier to work with. This one snags my hair and I get a lot more build up on the plates than I did before and I don't know if that's because I use more products now (but I don't think it's really that different). All that being said, this is still a good straightener and if I hadn't had a Sedu I would probably like this one a lot better. I also have pretty curly hair, and I've gotten pretty good at straightening and blow drying it but unless the straightener is really good my hair will start to frizz after a while which is what I have noticed with this one. I would recommend paying the extra money for a Sedu (I really want the Sedu revolution right now) if your hair does not hold straightness very well. This is not a bad choice, there are just better options out there.posted Jul 13, 2010Link to this post

StefanyeStraight Up Love!!!I absolutely love this flat iron! I am Black American, and it flat irons my hair with or without a relaxer. I also used on my friend and she has course curly hair and she is always asking to borrow it! So, I'm buying her own.posted Jun 27, 2010Link to this post

NedyWorks Well For Two Weeks...I bought this flat iron hoping that it would work well on my naturally curly hair and it did for the first to weeks... after that it was not hot enough to straighten my hair properly. Now two months later the plates are chipping and it is not longer in working conditions... do not spend your money on this.posted Jun 20, 2010Link to this post

LeslieWas Good At First ...I have African American hair. When I fist had a relaxer in my hair it worked well. After my relaxer started to come out, my hair was just frizzy and poofy when I finished. This straightener is not good of no-relaxed African American hair.posted Jun 15, 2010Link to this post

PasscellMy Mind Is Not Made Up....I think this flat iron is okay so far. I am African American with curly, curly hair and I have to use to the flat iron on 360-400 to get my hair completely straight.... This aspect I do not like about the flat iron. Overall, I wouldnt mind trying something else.posted Jun 4, 2010Link to this post

LaurenNot For Thick Hair...I have naturally wavy, thick caucasian hair and this flat iron couldn't stand up to it. It could get it straight, but I didn't like that it frizzed up and poofed out, as I want sleek lightweight feeling hair. This flat iron cannot protect hair from humidity. Basically, it works just like the CHI but with more frizz.posted May 29, 2010Link to this post

CanHairAfrican AmericanRelaxed HairAverage Flat IronI am African American and I have been transitioning my relaxed hair to natural for a year and a half. At first this flat iron worked well because my hair texture was still relaxed. But as my hair became more natural, these irons were not doing a good job getting it straight. I like my hair to be smooth after I flat iron, but it left my hair frizzy and not nearly as straight. I used my sister's Solia and that worked WONDERS. My hair texture is a 2c/3a and if you have natural hair, do not waste your money on this. Buy the Solias.posted May 5, 2010Link to this post
