I Love ItI've had this iron for over ten years, and I love it. I read the reviews that complain about it frying their hair, but I think they aren't aware of the heat settings on this one. it says it only goes to 400 degrees but after trial and error i feel comfortable using this iron at 10 and below. any higher and i am sure it would be too intense for my hair. as with all hair tools, it takes, trial and error, skill, and patience. i love this iron and would be upset if it broke, it straightens my super thick hair very well and I would advise thick haired women who know how to flat iron hair to give this iron a try.posted Jan 30, 2013Link to this post -

Really Gets The Job Done, Maybe A Little Too Well...I've always been looking for a durable ceramic iron with a decent enough temperature that could get my hair straight without hassle. I've had this one for a few years now, and it really gets the job done, but it can be a little too harsh on the hair if it's used on a very high heat all the time.
Portions of the the edges and inner ceramic plates have already worn away.
Anyway, I like that I can straighten my hair and not have to re-iron it the day after with this tool. I just wish it didn't fry my hair as easily as it does.posted Apr 29, 2011Link to this post -

Its Good The First Two Months Than You Have To Throw It Away :(I had it for 2 months and it made my hair silky straight. However at the end of the second month of having it, it started to chip, meaning the ceramic was coming off!!! I was told before hand that its bad to use it after it chips, but I didnt listen. So I contunal to use it because I didnt want to waste money and BOY I WISHED I HAD THROWN IT AWAY!!! My hair edges started to fall off and it smooked. That was the begining of the thrid month!!!!! Awesome StraightenerI've had this flat iron for 4yrs and use it almost everyday and it works great and I've tried many that won't even half way straighten my hair. I put biosilk mousse mixed with a little biosilk silk therapy on my hair before I use it and it keeps your hair from being fried and I use it on high because my hair is hard to straighten. I've never had a problem with it but I do know that the regular straightening spray you buy does not work .posted Feb 19, 2011Link to this post

I've Had This For A While And..its really great, it gets your hair pin straight, but IT FRIES YOUR HAIR, even with heat protectant! it WILL DAMAGE YOUR HAIR IN WAYS YOU WILL NEVER WANT TO EXPERIENCE, like it damages your hair texture and causes it to be extreeemely frizzy and nothing will cure it, deep conditioning and stuff do not work, although i've never experienced split ends with this straightener? pleasse listen, if your going to get this, use it at a LOW temperature and not for everyday use!posted Apr 21, 2010Link to this post -
