Jaime G.HairDark BrownDry HairCurly HairColor Treated HairPeople Are Dumb It Works Great !i don't know what these people are talking about i've had my FHI platform flat iron for ATLEAST 5 years now and it works just as good as the day i got it !! of course it's going to be hot it's a flat iron what do you expect people are dumb saying it's bad because they burned themselves with it lol. it has adjustable heat so you can set it to what works for your hair. i have semi-thick curly hair and it works great. better than the CHI no doubt.posted Oct 2, 2010Link to this post

EmmeHairAuburnNormal HairColor Treated HairFine or Thin HairWouldn't Buy It AgainI like it alright because it doesn't damage my thin hair TOO much. However, it's just so hot! Not only that, but the casing gets hot too and so I constantly burn myself with it. This would be so much better if it had a heat control. I prefer my CHI over this, even if this does less damage. Tip: use CHI Silk Infusion while you straighten with this and it helps loads.posted Aug 15, 2010Link to this post

SarahDidn't Work On My Long, Thick Hair. This would probably work well on fine and/or short hair. It did not work so well on my long thick hair. I will be returning this iron for a Sedu or Solia, both of which I've had much better results.posted May 5, 2010Link to this post

JanetBooth's Harbour, Ontario, CanadaHad Two - Both Burned OutI have had two FHI flat irons and both burned out within a few months. Contacted the company and they would dom nothing. I would not suggest their products.posted May 3, 2010Link to this post

JenNot For Thick Hair!My Chi, which i owned for 4 years recently broke. I loved it, but heard that the newer chi's were not made as well. I decided to try this FHI. I am extremely unhappy! i have long, thick, curly/wavy hair. The FHI would definitely be better for thin, fine hair. It takes me almost an hour to straighten my hair with this iron, which took around 15-20 minutes with the CHI. I can not even get rid of all the frizz. Then, after about 20 mins, it's puffed back up and wavy! waste of time and money. =(posted Mar 31, 2010Link to this post

NoelleCrest Hill, ILGoing 4 Years Strong!!!I bought this flatiron my freshman year of college after learning about the miracles of ceramic! the first day i got it i was in love and ever since then I have been tellin people about this amazing flat iron. I tried the CHI when i borrowed it from friends but my hair never turned out as amazing as when i would use the FHI! Im a graduate student now and, although, its a little beat up from 4 years of wear and tear it still works like a charm. Im about to get a new iron and sell this one to my cousin and she loves it just as much as I do! dont settle, go big or go home and this iron is definitely a home run!posted Mar 9, 2010Link to this post

ShastelOne Of The Worst Flat IronsI once had a $30 Revlon flat iron from the drug store that worked way better than this FHI flat iron, and the disturbing thing is that the FHI costs way more! I was not pleased with the results. If you have thick curly/wavy hair, this is not the flat iron for you. . . CHI, Sedu, and even a simple BabyLiss Pro works better.posted Mar 5, 2010Link to this post

EmilyNot Worth ItI have had many straighteners and recently a friend of mine broke my FHI. I don't know the exact name of mine so he replaced it with this one and it does not work for me. I have curly hair and need a hotter straightener. This straightener does not get hot enough and does not have a temperature setting. It is just on or off. I have not been able to wear my hair straight since I got this straightener and am continuing to look for a new one.posted Mar 2, 2010Link to this post
