That GirlSaint LouisThe Chi Is No Comparison!!I am African American woman with a head full of thick long hair. I used the chi for years and I hated that I would have to go through my hair so many times in order to straighten it to my desired look. Using the chi it took me 3 to 4 hours to straighten my hair. The FHI IS AWESOME..it completely straightens and silkens(word?) in just one passing. My hair is also very shiny and not dry looking how the chi left it looking. Not only is my hair straightening time down to one single hour but I absolutely LOVE IT. I believe that the chi does better with Caucasian women and Fhi(because it has the ability to get hotter) is better for African American women..hope all this info helps.posted Aug 8, 2008Link to this post

VeronicaMichiganFhi Vs SeduI went back in forth between purchasing the sedu or the FHI. I believe in giving products serious consideration and evaluation before purchasing because I hate to waste money. After careful consideration i decided to purchase the FHI and I am glad that I did. It straightens my hair as If i went to a beauty salon and got it done. Finally a straight iron that I am actually satisfied with. Though every womans hair is different so is every flat iron. You know your hair and only want the best for it. My advice look at girls who take care of their hair on a daily basis..I know that a woman who takes care of her hair uses good products. Find out what works for you!posted May 21, 2008Link to this post

Renee B.Atlanta, GABest So Far.I have 4a/4b fine, relaxed hair. My hair cannot withstand a lot of heat because my strands are thinner than normal. I had a Chi and it burned my hair. I would use it and within the next few days, i would have lots of breakage and split ends so i only used it about 4 times in 2 years. I did a lot of research and for the price, i decided the FHi would be the best. I set my temperature to 375 and i pass it through each small section once. I dont get breakage or dryness with the right products and i can make nice little curls with it!!! My hair also bounces with little to no effort :O <3posted Apr 21, 2008Link to this post

ShannaSan Francisco, CaliforniaHairCurly HairGood Iron If You Don't Have Long Or Really Thick HairI purchased this iron less than a year ago when my T3 tourmaline iron purchase turned out to be a big mistake. I have naturally curly hair that is long, and very resistant to heat, & chemicals. The first time I flat-ironed my hair it took about 2 hours, and came out beautifully. It lasted about 3 days and then I had to wash it. Since it takes me so long to flat iron my hair the handle which has little grooves in it left some of my fingers sore and calloused from gripping the handle for so long (2hrs).After that, I wasnt sure if I would keep the iron because my fingers and hand felt so sore. Now, when I use the iron I have to where a glove to protect my hand which helps but makes it harder for me to flat iron my hair as well. Honestly, my iron is still in perfect condition, gets really hot, and works well but if I could do it over again I wouldnt own this flat iron.My suggestion: if you have naturally curly hair that is thick, and takes a long time to flat iron....get something else.posted Mar 31, 2008Link to this post

TerpitudeCanadaDoes Its JobI bought this iron from folica.com and I received a free pouch with it. I like the iron and it does a great job. Add hot sauce by FHI and use the iron your hair is straight and shiny until you wash your hair. People comment when I straighten my hair that it is shiny and straight.Great investment and much cheaper to purchase from folica.com than anywhere else.posted Mar 29, 2008Link to this post
