FHI Ceramic Flat Iron with Variable Temperature - 1 3/4"

Jamie MatthewsCanada OntarioNice And Hot!I have tried many straighteners: Chi, Babyliss, ceramix, conair etc and this was the most expensive but is by far the hottest. It doesnt pull and catch hair like my babyliss and it heats up much faster then the chi and gets hotter (but be careful if you have fine hair) I have thick wavey hair and it still takes a long time to straighten ( have to go through more then once)but I find with the FHI it is staying straighter longer. We will see if it lasts as long as the chi though...my sister has had hers for 3 years and it still works but not as well.

ChristenSan Francisco, CANo.I just bought this from Folica last week and got it in BEFORE the expected shipping date, which was great! As soon as I opened the box I immediately noticed how cheap this iron looks. Really, it looks like it cant be worth more than $15. Looks aside, this product does not get my hair straight at all. My 4 year old HAI that has lost heat over the years works WAY better than this thing. The size is nice, but it just doesnt do the job. The little that it did on my hair was gone within 10 minutes while I was inside and I was again, left with frizz. Back to folica it goes! :posted Jul 21, 2008Link to this post

AnonymousAtlanta, GAPretty Good IronI was fairly pleased with this product. I didnt get my hair quite as straight as my stylist got it, but that may just be technique. However, she did tell me to get an iron that went to at least 410 degrees for my hair type (African American, natural, tight curls). I had to put it all the way up to 450 degrees to begin to get it as straight as she got it. Overall, its pretty good.posted May 19, 2008Link to this post

SuzanneBoo!After 3 days of use, my iron just stopped coming on. No light, no heat - nothing. Im a hairdresser and have used Chis for about 7 years and decided to try something different. I was not impressed with the heat or compression from the FHI iron (for the 3 days of operation), even though it was almost twice the size of my previous irons, you would think that it would maintain better heat! In FHIs defense, my co worker let me try hers and it works great but it was purchased nearly 4 years ago. What happened to the quality?posted Apr 18, 2008Link to this post

DeborahCanton, MichiganFhi Ceramic Flat IronI purchased this flat iron and it was at my door step 2 days later. THANKYOU FOLICA!! This is an excellent flat iron. Im a black woman with thick hair and the results looks as if I just walked out of the salon. My hair stylist uses the same flat iron and I wanted to have one of my own. I will never use nothing but ceramics ever again.posted Feb 21, 2008Link to this post

BrianneHairCurly HairWorks Great!i have had my FHI for 2 years and i wouldnt trade it in for anything! i thought the 1 3/4" plates would be too small; the previous straightener i used was 3". the smaller plates do a better job at getting all of your hair straightened. i have the best of both worlds; i can have pin straight hair if i use an iron or have extremely curly hair by doing nothing. i dont have any frizzy spots when i am done straightening. i have had some hairs get CAUGHT on top of the plates but have not had hair torn out.posted Jan 23, 2008Link to this post
