OliviaCanadaHairPlatinum BlondeDry HairCurly HairColor Treated HairThick or Coarse HairNot The Best!i have this straightener for almost a year, it worked really well at first and made my hair really straight and soft, but after a few months chunks of the plates started to fall off, and the straightener strated to stink, i cleaned it really good two ar three times but it still stunk. this straightener killed my hair!, i use lots of products for helping moisturize my hair and to help with split and dead ends, because i have never had a problem with thos things(i have to use lots of heat protecting spray) before i used this straightener! so i wouldnt recommend it if you dont want to buy a new one within six months!!posted Jun 25, 2011Link to this post

AshleyIdkI don't own one but I think I'm gonna get one soon I don't know if I should buy this should I. I saw a cortex straitener at tj maxx for 29.99 so don't think that it's a good deal at the mall it's not also if u did get tricked check the box to see if there's anything wrong with the straightener before u buy itposted Jun 28, 2010Link to this post

RebeccaCoeburn, VAI Have Never Tried This.I have a Chi. The original black Chi. My hair is very nappy. I Use BEYOND THE ZONE TURN UP THE HEAT Protection Spray with my Chi & nobody ever recognizes me. I'm just saying you get what you pay for. I used to buy a 40.00 straightener every 8-10 months.posted Jun 25, 2010Link to this post

Alihya W.New YorkAlways Works For MeI actually use my friends Cortex 1.5 flatiron platinum edition and it is GGgggggggrrrrrrreat! U need to slow down to get the results u want. If u take your time and use a little oil sheen your hair should turn out gorgeous. Also experiment with the temp. U may need it higher or lower for your hair type. And remember to clean your tools after u use them. Happy ironing.posted May 28, 2010Link to this post

Oliviaiv had almost every hair straightner there is...cheap ones...expensive ones...this straightner can easily compare with the chi...it leaves my hair so shiny and smooth...the only thing that bothers me and i dont no if its just my hair but sometimes my hair gets staticy with this one and it also leaves a lot of crimps for some odd reason...but overall its good...i bought mine at marshalls actually for only 30 bucks...pretty good deal if i say so myselfposted Feb 13, 2010Link to this post

EmilyDoesnt LastIve had this straightener in blue for over a year now and when i first got it it worked really well but after some time it started turning orange and burnt looking around the ceramic plates and on them. Also they do not glide through my hair as easily as before. If i had the time back i would havebought a moer expensive straightener that maybe wouldve lasted longer instead of having to re-purchase a different one every year. Overall, it does work good on my wavy hair but does not last as long as expected.posted Jan 4, 2010Link to this post

AshleyTacoma, WA, USAGreat!...for The MoneyI got this straightener this month and it works wonders! I love all the features, and the colors are really cute. It glides really smooth through my hair, it has adjustable temperature, it makes my hair pretty shiny, and i can curl and crimp with it. It's a great deal, but obviously, don't pay over $100 for it. you can find them really cheap, but they still work great. It's not QUITE as good as the chi (takes a little longer to straighten & not as shiny), but they are really really close, and this one is so much cheaper. I used to have a wet2straight by remington, but this straigthener is so so so much nicer. It works amazing, I definitely recommend it!posted Nov 20, 2009Link to this post
