MarieTravel StraightenerI personally really like this mini straightener, however, I mainly use it for my bangs. It only takes a minute or so to heat up and after that it stays hot. Using it to straighten all my hair definitely takes longer than a normal sized device, but that's only expected since it's two and a half inches long. I'm going to take it to Europe this summer so I hope it works!posted Jun 5, 2010Link to this post

CaroleCaliforniaNot Worth The MoneyI recieved travel mini chi flat iron and hair dryer. Both are worthless, the dryer doesnt dry my hair hot enough and the flat iron doesnt get hot enought to straighten my hair. What a waste of MONEY!!! do not buy.posted Feb 21, 2010Link to this post

SaritaOrlando, FlVery BadI asked the Chi travel kit (iron + dryer) as a Christmas gift from my husband as I travel abroad really often and this looked like the perfect solution. The iron is awful. It doesn't heat enough either on 110W or 220W, and I tried it in both. It triples the time I spend to arrange my hair with the regular Chi iron (which I love), and still the hair doesn't look close as good. Chi (Farouk) should be very careful releasing a product that is so bad comparing to the original. People will lose confidence in the brand. At least I lost mine.posted Jan 29, 2010Link to this post

BeechBirchcliff, Alberta, CanadaI Couldn' Ask For A Better Size Of A Curling Iron.I find for travelling this is the perfect size. I can even just put in my medium size purse. I have shoulder length & fine hair, I have no problems at all using the CHI mini ceramic hairstyling iron. My husband & I do a fair amount of travelling & never have enough room for every thing I would like to take, so this size is great. It never gets TOO hot, never burns my hair. It makes perfect curles or straightens my hair, whatever my mood is for that day, curles or straight. Yes I just love my travelling size straightener iron.posted Jan 17, 2010Link to this post

DayanUnited StatesChi Mini Is Not What It SeemsFirst of all I must preface this review by saying I actually never used it or removed it from its packaging. What I did notice, however, was that this product does not deliver on the one simple platform on which it was sold: it is NOT a versatile iron made for international travel. The item description states that the iron is capable of switching from 110 to 220 volts (so, in other words it can be used in other countries OUTSIDE of the US). All that was needed was a simple adaptor. Well, unfortunately the prongs of the iron's plug are shaped in such a way as to prevent plugging in to ANY adaptor. As is usual for the US one prong of the plug is slightly bigger (as to ground the plug when a third prong is unavailable), however, on the CHI one plug was so much bigger than usual I could not find a single adaptor that fit. I went through 10. I promptly sent it back, as the only reason I bought the iron was to travel with it.posted Jan 17, 2010Link to this post

LizzyDissapointing!!!!this chi is terrible! 1st: i have naturally thick, long, but mostly strait hair & have used chi before so i was very dissapointed w/ this iron, chis of my past have worked fine & made my hair beautiful!, but this 1 required like 10 pass throughs before it got my hair strait & ripped my hair out in the process!! also the grooves on the top hurt my fingers like crazy!! what is their purpose anyway!!??! btw it also died like 5 months after i got it & i took really good care of it..... all in all chi's irons are usually awesome but this 1 is a piece of crap!!! gat it 2gether chi!posted Oct 1, 2009Link to this post

SidraOrange County, CAHairCurly HairShould Have Listened To The Reviews...horribleI should have listened to all the other reviews. My hair is naturally wavy and it's not too thick, rather easy to style. I was going overseas for a month and I needed a flat iron that worked. I thought that since Chi was a trusted brand I couldn't go wrong with this flat iron...but I was wrong. This flat iron is awful!!! It only has an on/off switch, barely gets hot enough to style hair. It has the same problems overseas. I would recommend finding a different flat iron to travel with. This one is SO BAD and it's not worth the money at all.posted Aug 20, 2009Link to this post
