100% Best!!I have bought so many different brands of flat irons and this Chi by far is the best. I have naturally-curly, thick hair, and it makes it feel so smooth and silky. It feels like I just left the salon. I will never spend another penny on a Sedu or Hot Tools flat iron which have recieved higher reviews that Chi, but that is not true for me. Chi Used To Be The BestIn the past my CHI flatirons would last years, they definately do not make them like they used to. The one I currently have is a little over a year old, which makes it just past the warranty and it no longer heats properly. It sort of flickers off and on and wont reach the desired temp or stay hot enough. My first CHI lasted over 4 years. The last two died shortly after the 1 year is up. So frustrating. I will be replacing with a new brand. Don't waste your money, CHI no longer makes them like they used to. The Chi Works Amazing!i have had my chi for about 5 years, and always loved it. it makes my hair extremely shiny, silky, and soft. also, i have not noticed that it causes any damage to my hair. since it is getting old though, i decided to replace it but after seeing a bunch of hype on the instyler i decided to give that a try instead, which was a complete disappointment. thankfully i could return it. that experience made me notice what a great flat iron the chi is! i really love it! and i just recently learned to curl/wave my hair with it, it looks beautiful!! the next iron i get will most certainly be a new chi!posted Jan 28, 2011Link to this post

My ChiI have had my Chi for about 2 years now and have had NO problems! The light flickers on my Chi, but that lets me know it's ready. It gets hot quick and STAYS hot. I don't wrap the cord around my flat iron, so there won't be any short outs in the cord. I have naturally curly hair and I live in the deep South... humidity and frizz is a HUGE problem. Still Using This Flat Iron 3 Yrs Later And I Love It The Same!I have very long thick hair that is layered. My aunts own a hair salon so i always had the option growing up to try the best products coming out. This is the first flat iron i have ever owned and i never changed my opinion. It has really lasted and lived out its promise. CHI promises lifetime with this straightener and i get the same results everytime i use it. I have the basic 1" in black and its given me three years so far and i love it. 4 Years And Still Going Strong!I have had my Chi straightener since 2007 and I love it so much. It has taken so much abuse and it still works the same as the day I bought it. As a redhead, my hair has a unique texture, thick and fine at the same time, if that makes any sense at all, but the Chi is able to handle what I've got! I may upgrade soon though because the only thing I don't like about the Chi is the inability to adjust the temperature. The bulk of my hair requires more heat than my bangs and it would be nice to be able to adjust where appropriate. Chi Flat Iron In My Opinion Has A Tech ProblemI have four daughters and have purchased way too many of these chi irons over the years....the girls love how well they straighten their hair but I (Mom and purchaser of these flat irons ) will not be spending any more of my money on these irons. They don't last very long and when I spend more than $100 for each iron and they last less then a year I think there must be another iron worth trying. They all have the same problem...light and heat won't stay on..flickers...I currently have 3 useless irons! all under a year old! Let's face it...it is not as though they are even used every day...you think they could be build them a little better at these prices!! Once a fan...no response from Chi about the problems...no longer a fan and I want everyone to know there must be a flaw with this product and the company certainly must be aware of it and they haven't bothered to reply to my inquiries about how often people have the same problem and if they are working on making the product better.posted Jan 22, 2011Link to this post
