Worst Flat Iron Ever, Don't Waste Your Money!I bought this after my corioliss flat iron cracked when i droped it after 4 years of constant use. I was so excited when i got this and went to straighten my hair right away. I noticed how quickly it heated up which is a good thing, the tempature was one setting, i prefer one with multiple setting depending on the look im going for. As soon as i clamped on my hair & ran it through, i immediately notcied that it was pulling on my hair and it actually hurt! I made sure my hair was staying between the plates and it was. I don't understand why..CHI's are overrated. My 29$ Conair one from walmart kicked my CHI's ass. I returned it and just placed a new order for a Corioliss, my favorite flat iron ever. Dont Waste Your TimeI bought my first Chi about 10yrs ago. It lasted over 5 years, but then finally gave up. I loved it and thought it was the only straight iron out there. Since it died, I have owned 4 more, each going out within a year of each other. So not worth the money you pay. I just bought a BaByliss PRO Nano Titanium and can honestly say it is the best one I have ever used. Definately worth the money (which is way less than I have spent in the last 5 yrs for new Chi's) and has a 4 year warranty.posted May 9, 2011Link to this post

Good But Not The BestI bought this four years ago because it was so popular. I have very fine hair and having a flat iron without an adjustable temperature is damaging my hair. Even though I use Redken's heat glide, I still believe my hair is more damaged than it needs to be. I bought this for $180 and that was a good price at the time compared to the $250 price tag. If you have fine hair, I do not recommend this flat iron. Buy a sedu or solia - better price and better quality. My flat iron is lasting, however, I will not be purchasing another chi. This will probably be fine for thicker hair however I think that you can find a better flat iron for a lesser price. Dont Waste Your Moneyi had this flat iron for 6 months and it just stopped working, called CHI and said they cannot do anything about it! Best Straightener AroundMy hair is very thick and very curly and tends to frizz badly.. I was working at a department store about 1997 or 1998 and I bought my first Chi hair straightener I paid under $130.00 for it.. I have had it all this time and have used it a lot.. From too many catches on the handles of cabinets and drawers I now have a short in the cord.. I fully intend to purchase another one because I have tried many straighteners and my Chi is the only one that has straightened my hair to how I like it.. My sister liked my straightener so much she went out and purchased herself one too.. Through the years I have learned how to do many different styles with it and I have had a different straightener given to me and it wasn't as easy to use and my hair literally killed it in a day.. I will stick to my Chi and hope that everyone loves theirs as much as I love mine.. I highly recommend this product.. After almost 15 years I need a new one I think I like the fact that being able to own a product that long and have it not lose temp due to the age makes that product well worth no matter how much you pay for it..posted May 5, 2011Link to this post

Don't Waste Your Money On A ChiI've bought a lot of flat irons in my time, and I finally splurged on a CHI (thinking it was something great) and it's the worst investment in a flat iron I've ever made. Had the thing for 4 months and it broke!! I called CHI and they won't stand behind it and basically says sorry, there's nothing they can do! What kind of a company doesn't stand behind their own product?? I would never waste my money on another CHI anything.
