Best Straigtner Yet!Ive tried so many straightners i couldnt count them, from sedu to store brands and chi is definately the best. Other brands always leave me frizzy at the end of the day and the sedu works good and leaves hair softer than chi but doesnt have as great as results. Don't Buy It Just For The Brand Name!I have used expensive hair straighteners for about 8 years now, and have never been satisfied with a cheap version. I have used Chis, Rusks, and Sedus. My last hair straightener was a 1.5" Sedu, and I really liked it, but it stopped working well after about 3-4 years. I purchased this Chi to replace it, because I thought it was a great deal and I wanted a 1" hair straightener to be able to curl my hair easier. I sent it back, however, because the connection would be frequently interrupted if the cord was facing the wrong direction. the cord moves all the way around at its attachment to the hair straightener, but will only stay on/heat up if it is in one of two positions. I called to see if it was an issue with my hair straightener or the model, and it is definitely an issue with the model. Spend a little more money and invest in one that will not disappoint. I suggest the 1" Sedu! I just replaced this Chi with it and I love it!posted Mar 30, 2010Link to this post -

Chi Straightner From China Vs Usa...readwhen chi first came out, the straightner was from china. of course, they offered a lifetime warranty...well guess what? they found that the wiring, switch, etc went wrong. they returned so many now they are charging something like 30.00. where is the lefetime warrany? well, now they are making them in the USA and of course they are much better...moral of the story...cheap labor means trouble. ask mattel! chi does not offer a lifetime warranty...IT COSTposted Mar 29, 2010Link to this post -

I Love It!I brought the CHI original flat iron for the first time. I got it because I someone with a CHI and she recommended it to me and it was on sale for 69.99. It also came with a free heat proof mat. Anyway, I used it twice so far and I am very pleased with the results. I am african american and I have permed hair (straight). But I like for my hair to have body and I love the effect flat irons have on my hair. The CHI left my hair light, shiny, soft, silky, and I definately had body. It is totally worth every dollar. I only flat iron my hair once every week, and I get my ends trimmed every 3 months. So it shouldn't cause any damage. I thought that maybe it would burn my hair out b/c it doesn't have a temp settting. But it doesn't. I can get my hair permed less often now. So far there's nothing I don't like about it. Chi=amazing!my sisters had a chi for about 4 years and i decided to get one! We both love it! Love My Chicompared to 120 @ Target, this price is great for the CHI flat iron. I have had one for years, I just bought a new one because it was damaged from spilling a liquid on it, so not the products fault that it does not work. Good But Wish It LastedI've had my CHI for about 2yrs now and really loved everyday that I had it but yesterday morning during my daily routine, I smelled a burning smell while straightening my hair. Nothing was on fire but when I checked the iron I saw that the 'on' light was on even when I moved the switch to 'off'. I thought it was odd but let it go. This morning when I went to turn it on it was dead. I am disappointed and realize that as any tool it can't last forever but I still wish it did....so it was a wonderful tool while it worked. One Of The Best Flat Irons Ever!!Yes, the CHI is a bit more pricey than the rest, but is a WELL worth investment for great, professionally styled hair! Everywhere I go people ask me how I get my hair so smooth, silky and STRAIGHT! And I tell them I bought a CHI. People's natural reaction is, "Well, I couldn't dare spend that much money on a hair iron!" But they'd rather spend that money on a cheap $20 one they'll have to replace in a few months and that'll also be frying their hair!! The CHI is the best way to go and this website has it for one of the best prices I've seen on the Internet.
