Is The Website Legit?yes. I ordered my Chi a few days ago and it just got in today. I was a little nervous about getting it. I was scared it wouldnt be real or the product would never come and I would waste my money. Its NOT a waste. It really is what it says it is and works great! My cousin has had hers for at least 3 years and it still works perfect. So dont waste your money on a more expensive price. Definitley Not Worth It... Made My Hair Look Like Hay.I decided to buy a Chi, because of all the good reviews. I was so excited when I got it, I put Chi Iron guard and straightened my hair. It made it look like hay. LIKE HAY! it was horrible. Im going to save up and buy a Sedu Revoloution... but thanks to this stupid thing I wasted most of my money. Good Iron Buuut...I have very very wavy/curly/frizzy Mexican Hair haha thats the best way to put it. This Iron didnt do very good when I had long hair I live in Arkansas (humidity capital of the world I swear) and so my hair would look AWESOME inside and the minute I stepped outside it would just turn into a big ball of frizz and no matter how much product I put in my hair it would still frizz out. When I got my hair cut off (from the middle of my back to a 1/2 inch below my chin or so) it worked wonders I think that was partially due to the hair cut etc. I dont have bad hair, my stylist always goes on and on about my beautiful, healthy, black hair but it didnt do much for frizz. Over thanksgiving I was cooking dinner and straightening my hair inbetween and I left it on for about 20-25 minutes and it MELTED. I dont know about you but I dont think that should have messed it up - it normally took my short hair 15 minutes to get all nice and straight. My brother tried to fix it but it was pretty much runied and I havent bought another one since - when he opened it up he said it looked pretty cheap. Sorry for the goofy pictures but its all I could find, the first one is of my natural frizzy curly hair and the second one is straightened with the chi and if you look you can still see how poofy/frizzy my hair is at the bottom.

Well Worth The Money Spent!I had my CHI for four years, this past weekend when I was straightening my hair in my friends room, my friend accidentally tripped over the cord and I dropped my CHI, the plates popped out. :[But, this next monday I am getting a new one, its the best straightener Ive ever had. Chi Flat Iron...2years And Still Going StrongI bought my Chi Flat Iron (original model) 2 years ago and have NEVER had a problem with it. I keep it in its original box and do not wrap the cord around it, as was suggested here. I condition my hair regularly and always use a protective product on it before ironing my hair. Yes, your hair will need periodic trimming as usual bc of dead ends, but it hasnt "fried" my hair whatsoever, and I also color my hair as well. The heat proof pad is nice to have to set on your sink counter as you use it. All in all, I have never regretted my purchase and my hair always looks great, straight or curly. I've Had Two....When I first bought a chi I LOVED it! But it broke after a couple months. It had a short in the cord and stopped working. Then I went back and bought a new one and Ive only had it a year or so and the on/off button stopped working. I didnt "abuse" my straightner. I dont know why they kept breaking. It was too expensive and worked awesome. I love the way it worked but not if I have to spend money every 6 months to buy a new one.posted Mar 21, 2008Link to this post

Can't Go Anywhere Without My Chi Flat Iron!I bought my first CHI flat iron about 5 years ago and was literally attached to it. I packed it with me on every trip no matter where I go. It makes my hair from super frizzy to super straight, shiny and sleek. I used to straight perm my hair before, but with the CHI flat iron and a little time, I can save some extra bucks on going to a hair salon. You need to use some hair serum to smooth it out though if your hair is coarse like mine. Get the hair serum from FrizzEase at Walmart or Target. It works just fine, and you dont need to spend a lot of money on expensive products. The cord recently got loose, and the iron didnt heat up as good as it used to be, so Ive just ordered a new one from Folica. I know the heat proof pouch will really come in handy on my next trip as I always had to wait for the iron to cool down after each use before pack it in my suitcase. I notice the new iron does not heat up as hot as my previous one so it takes a little longer to straighten my hair every morning, but other than that, it works fine. Love It!!!My sister and I both have very curly frizzy hair, she had a CHI and gave it to me to try. I absolutely loved it.No more frizz!! One mornig when I was straightening my hair my dog got caught in the cord and pulled it to the floor and the plates popped off. (I think my puppy just wanted to give it a try too since she saw how well it worked on me) Anyways, I ordered a new CHI and it is just as great as my last. They are very much worth the price.
