Lauren Machen(NY)live In Baltimore, MDProper Use!I have tried the expensive flat irons that cost over $100, and nothing comes close to this product!!! With the others i would have to go over the same piece of hair several times. This is the best ive used thus far, im a cosmetologist and i mostly work with natural african american hair. when i use it on my clients people think that i gave them a relaxer when i just used this flat iron. the problem is i have only found it in NY for about $35.00. So i would have to travel to get it now I see I can order it from here great!!!! Bottom line this is the best flat iron if you want true results. Now I will say this Ive been using the product sence about 2004 and I have purchased about three so far, but that was because it has been droped a couple of times and I didnt keep the reciept to turn it in for the warrenty but over all I will recommend this to any and everyone who lives to have bone straight hair. Many people dont know how to use these producets right which cause breakage or hair being dry, but with the proper knowledge this is great product period, Ive used the CHI flat iron & it has nothing on the Ceramic Tools flat iron at all. I LOVE IT!, I LOVE IT!!, I LOVE IT!!!posted Mar 28, 2008Link to this post

TessaGood And Inexpensive!Ive had this straightener since 2004, and it still works like it did the first time! Now that technology has changed somewhat, and there are better straighteners out there (Solia, Sedu, CHI) I would like to get a new one, but this one still works great! It heats up in about two minutes and it has the adjustable temperature setting. It is pretty damaging if you use it every day though, but I have extremely thin and straight hair so its prone to damage. My hair also seems to sway one way, and for some reason it doesnt get one side pin straight. Maybe thats just my hair though. But if youre considering buying this product, I would say go for it if youre looking for something cheap and relatively good.posted Nov 18, 2007Link to this post

SmileyBoston, MaIt Was Good For A Whilethis was my first (may have been 2") iron i got for a gift. its probably almost 2 yrs old. it was great at first, my hair got straight and really shiny. but i noticed that i couldnt use it every day because it didnt straighten my hair as well as it had done the first time. it might have gotten my hair dry and brittle (it actually steamed my hair, but my hair was alright) it was fine, though, coz my hair was pretty thick and it takes me too long to straighten (i really wanted it super straight, no stray kinks) but now it doesnt do it anymore even if i just ironed my hair once a while when i feel like it. i have yet to try sedu or chi.. its really expensive though. so now i just let my hair as it wishes to be coz whatever, it just is a big hassle. btw, the pic was taken probably summer2007 when i ironed my hair to see how long it already was. it looks ok, but the back looks thick and easily tangles.posted Oct 7, 2007Link to this post

KathyToronto, OntarioRandomly Dies...Ive bought three of these straighteners over the past four years. They work well for about half a year or so, and they just die -- they wont heat up at all. But theyre inexpensive and work well for quite a bit of time. What you pay for is what you get, I guess.posted Aug 7, 2007Link to this post

KellyPottsville, PASpend The Extra MoneyI have had this straightener for about a year. It worked well in the beginning but now it just isnt up to par. The goods thing are it heats up quickly and the size is perfect for travel and trips. The cons are when i use mine the temperature lowers. If you want it to keep your hair healthy it will just damage it. I say spend some extra cash and go for a professional one.posted Feb 9, 2007Link to this post

Nikiona StewartCovington, TN 38019It' S Excellent!I HAVE TRIED ALOT OF STRAIGHTENERS BUT AFTER USING THE ALEXIS PRO MY HAIR WAS STRAIGHTER AND NOT FRIZZY AT ALL. I DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO USE ANY KIND OF PRODUCT TO PUT IN MY HAIR BEFORE I USED THE STRAIGHTENER. I HAVE EVEN TAKEN A SHOWER AND THE MOISTURE DIDNT EVEN MAKE MY HAIR FRIZZY. ITS GREAT!!!

Kimberly MaloneSeattle, WAWorks Great On Relatively Straight Hair That Needs Some SmoothingI have have my iron for 2+ years now and its been a great value. I have long blonde (highlighted) hair that is relatively straight -- so I just use the iron to smooth my hair after blowdrying. Perfect for this.posted Dec 16, 2006Link to this post

BrennaWyomingAwesome Product!!I dont know what everyone is talking about when they say that theirs breaks often... i got mine for christmas my freshman year in highschool, and it JUST broke (Im a freshman in college now, and its thanksgiving). I straighten my hair at least 5 days of the week, and all I can say, is i loved all 5 years of straightening my hair with this. Even my friends would periodically steal if from me to use it (and mmy roommate at college used it just as much as I did!) My hair becomes soft, and nonfrizzy. I absolutely love it. I would recommend this product to anyone.posted Nov 23, 2006Link to this post
