Frizz-free HairMy hair is mildly waved so it does not take much to make it straight. But what I love most about the flat iron is that it work great in humid environments. I live in an extremely humid town in the South and I could never wear my hair loose in the summer because of the high humidity. I always had to get short haircuts or pull my hair back because I couldnt stand the frizzy hair. A Prized PossessionThis flat iron is by far the best I have ever used. Infact.. my hair has gotten spoiled.. When my first Bion disconnected from the cord (I had already had it for a year) none of the other irons I tried would straighten my hair.. my hair had grown accustom to that wonderful iron and would not straighten otherwise. I was amazed that the Bion iron even lasted for a year because I use mine every day and all of my other irons only lasted a few monthes tops. My hair always feels silky after use (and I know its severely damaged because I bleach and dye all of the time)and nothing else can beat how straight my hair ends up, not even the professional salons I go to can do as well straightening my hair as I can. So I have my new one and it works amazingly. I know it is hard to trust reviews and it is always possible that you get sent a faulty one, but this product is better than any of the ones you would buy on this site. You can also do flips at the ends and little curls so it styles in many ways. Even with the humidity it manages to stay straight and I have extremely thick and curly hair. Yes, it isnt cheap but it is an excellent investment. --Jenna

Doesnt LastWell i purchased this straightener in January and its already messing up. Although it does work well it does so only when it feels like it. It has read error many times and drops temperature after awhile. I used to have a Chi and I can say it is a better investment and 50 dollars cheaper. The Chi get hotter and lasts longer. Also the Bion had exceptionally small plates. I have thin, straight hair and based on my experiece with the Bion I feel it would take FOREVER to use on thick or curly hair. So overall, and for the price, I dont think the Bion is worth it. Go with the Chi or even the Hai, which is just as good as the Chi for less, they are much better.posted Jun 3, 2005Link to this post

Good StraightnerAlthough Ive only had the straightner for about 2 weeks, it seems to work fine. It heats up quickly and seems to completly smooth out my coarse, frizzy hair. Best Flat Iron On Folica!Talk about flat irons, Ive tried all the expensive brands that had the best reviews including Sedu, Chi, Solia, and Hai. Yet I wasnt exactly happy with any of them. They were all "Ok" to me, guess I was too picky. The Bion was the last and current iron Ive tried and to my suprise, stood out from all the others. Not only does the exterior design look prettier, but most IMPORTANTLY straightened incredibly beyond my expectation. Amazing!Ive tried many straighteners and these are by far the best. I did have the problem with having to switch it on, wait for the error message, unplug and then turn on again - it always worked fine second time. Then I moved house and it now seems to work prefectly first time which is strange!
