Great Flat IronI was a little concerned because I read really good reviews & some other ones which complained of the temperature going down and burnt hair.
I have no complaints and my hair is past my shoulders and usually curly & frizzy (In addition I live is South Florida)
I used it only once so far but the temperature never dropped, my hair did not burn (I do use Rusk heat protection) and it came out really straight and pretty.

Happy HairI bought this for my 17 year old daughter who has very curly ,long hair that she straightens almost every day. Great For Long, Thick HairI really like this straightener, it is my second CHI. The first CHI I had was a turbo, and I REALLY liked it. After reading all of the reviews about the "new" turbo, I decided to purchase the Big CHI. I love the straightener, my only dislike is that it is very light...cheap feeling light. When I clamp the straightener shut on my hair sometimes it doesn't align perfectly, which is why I didn't give a 5 star review. Chi In ChinaBuyer Be Aware! I bought my first Turbo Chi 2" at a salon 2 years ago. I paid 200 bucks but I loved it. After the warranty was up, my Chi short circuited and died on me. I bought the digital Turbo Chi 2" and had to return it because the it would not keep the temp consistant while it was on my hair. I needed it to be at 395 and it would go all the way down to 320! I returned it and looked for the orginal Big Turbo Chi 2". I found it and bough it again only to return it because the red felt tip was unsticking. Then the red Chi button fell out. It does not seem sturdy at all. I think its of its hinges because it not leveled with the Chi button. Again I only know this cause Im comparing it to the one I bought from the salon. I don't think its heatting properly because it left my hair frizzy.... I found out that Chi has been making their product in China and quality has lowered. I emailed them and still no response. Thye do NOT stand behind their product. Im willing to pay more $$ if I know I am getting a good quality product. Thick & LongI have thick long hair and this straightener has been great so far!! It has eliminated 30 minutes from my styling time as it heats up so fast and straightens very quickly. Big Chi DigitalI absolutely love CHI! After four long years of daily use and not properly caring for my first CHI, I was ready for a new one. Of course I selected a newer model of the same CHI I had got before. After the initial heat setting confusion it works wonderful. I have long thin to normal hair and it heats fast and is far less damaging than gold plated flat irons. The Best Flat IronMy hair is very long, thick and wavy. It took me 30 minutes to straighten my hair with the 2 inch BIG CHI. Only had to pass the iron over each section of hair 1 TIME. It did not pull out my hair, it moved smooth as butter through my hair. I did apply CHI Silk Infusion before using BIG CHI and a little after straightening hair. This BIG CHI replaced my beloved Solia 1 1/4 that quit working after 1 1/2 year. I love my BIG CHI. Its made in USA a plus too.
