A Piece Of Crap!This thing sucks! I got this for christmas and was very unsatisfied with the results. At first, I loved how the flat iron ran so smoothly through my hair. But then I realized how hot it was. If you have fine or thin hair, you would be lucky if you hair doesn't fry. I also noticed that around the edges of the two plates on the iron, it was getting brown and burnt. The first time I used it, my hair looked great but smelled really bad. The second time, my hair nearly caught on fire, smelled even worse, and it pulled my hair. The curling iron was too small for my very long hair. I know this isn't their fault but I was disappointed that there are no measurements of how big it was. I asked my parents for it, thinking it was at least a 1 in. Its about a 1/2 in. I was only able to do very small or accent curls on my hair but I was able to use it on my friend who has shoulder length hair but the outcome was very stiff. I also found that the tip of it (you know, the rubber part that you hold on to when rolling it up) was too hot to hold, it became very awkward curling it with two hands on the handle. Then the tip started getting black and came off. The barrel is starting to burn too. If the iron is beginning to deteriorate, I scared to think of what might happen to my hair. Barbar 1900 Cordless ComboThis cordless combo is genius! It heats up really fast and although you have to recharge after five minutes, it heats up rapidly again. This is why this product, in my opinion, is definitely a keeper!posted Dec 29, 2009Link to this post
