BaByliss Pro TT 1 1/2" Straightening Iron
-
NadyaIpswich, MASave Your Money!I left my beloved Solia behind on vacation and bought this BaByliss as a replacement. I actually got the BaByliss Pro TT at another store for MUCH less than the Solia is selling for in here but will still be returning it. This iron is not as bad as something you would find in a department store but it isn't much better. The surface of the irons isn't as smooth as the Solia and it definately burns my hair, I can smell it. Gross. Even with the heat turned as low as it can go to still straighten my hair. This iron also snags my hair, pulls some pieces out as I'm straightening. The quality of construction is just not that great either, certainly not for the money. Save your money and buy the Solia! I had mine for 3 years before I lost it and it was still working just exactly like new!posted Sep 21, 2009Link to this post

VanessaGood At FirstI got this flat iron about one year ago and when i first got it, it was good but the cons are the tips get really hot, it pulls your hair out and it makes your hair really frizzy. If i could go back i would not waste this money on the flat iron. I recomend the Solia whick is what i just bought off of folica and it is great i love it and will never ever go back to a babyliss pro.posted Apr 27, 2009Link to this post

ChristinaToronto, Ontario, CanadaNot BadI got this straightener about 7 months ago on my birthday and despite what a lot of these reviews say, its actually pretty good.About 2 years ago I got some other straightener as a present and it was HORRIBLE! I would spend nearly an hour doing my hair and not even 15 minutes later my hair would be curling up. Mind you this straightener didnt have temperature control. Then my friend let me have her old BaByliss straightener which was, but got the job done, but really burnt my hair and damaged it.My cousin has this straightener. I used it and fell in love with it! As my third one, this has definitley been the best one by far! My cousin has extremely poofy, curly, ringlet hair and whenever she does her hair its pin straight, smooth, and shiney and STAYS straight. Its amazing.Of course, I use products to help and protect my hair and it keeps my hair pretty much the same as it is when I put the straightener down. In extreme heat, it will curl maybe just a little bit, but other than that, its picture perfect! The reviews I read trashing it about faulty construction and breaking apart, scratches, burn smells, all of that .. I have not seen that at ALL on mine its still good as new and its almost been 7 months. I guess it was a faulty ones you guys had unfortunatley.posted Jul 18, 2008Link to this post

SissiePlainfield, IndianaLove It!!!!I was so torn on which straightner to get....went to get a chi and ended up getting the babybliss and I am amazed at how well it works ...my hair is so silky and soft and shiny....I did notice a hair or 2 stuck in it like people have said but I didnt feel it pull out....thought about taking it back because of that but it works so great I have decided to keep it....if it keeps working like it is then it is by far the BEST I have used and I highly recommended the babybliss.posted Jun 15, 2008Link to this post

MichelleNot Worth Your Moneyi bought the babyliss pro TT about 3 months ago, i thought it was the best straightener at the time, but soon realized it fails to do its job. The red paint has completely chipped, if you use any kind of straightening/protecting balm in your hair like redken or paul mitchell it turns theplates brown and it soon SMELLS! Everytime i straighten my hair, my mom can smell it from 4 rooms away! Its gross, and im just REALLY disappointed that i paid 150 dollars. My sister just recently go the CHI cheetah print straightener and i couldnt be more jealous. My mom is buying me one tommorrow, she claims she cant stand the smell of the Babyliss and neither can i. dont waste your money, buy a CHI :]posted Apr 16, 2008Link to this post

KendraCanadaI Love This Ironi found that all these people are havee a bad experience with this iron, i find it veryy good, but so it doesnt get burnt you have to get a product to put in your hair before you iron it. i use this alberto product before i use my irom and it helps alotposted Feb 22, 2008Link to this post

JuliaGoderichNot Worth Your Money - 1 Year LaterI wrote a decent review about a year ago. Now my flat iron is falling apart at the hinges, the coating is coming off, it doesnt heat like it used to - in fact - one of the elements has completely burned out. All of this, of course, after the warrenty. Luckily, the company I bought it from is being nice and exchanging it. I would not recommend any Babyliss product as they all seem so shabby in construction. My sister has a Chi that she has been using for more than two years and its still like new. Thats the kind of quality I was looking for in Babyliss and absolutely did not get. It is very helpful in reviews if people write about what happened months after they bought it - of course almost all flat irons are great when you first get them - the problem is logevity. Perhaps through our reviews we can get Babyliss to stop producing such short lived junk!posted Jan 19, 2008Link to this post

Hannah WynneCalgary, AlbertaBurns Hair Right Offi have has this certain straightener in replacement of another faulty baby bliss straightener and it worked just fine and all of a sudden, one morning i woke up doing my normal routine and straightened my hair as usual. i realized a couple minutes later that i had missed a part of my bangs... so i tried to straighten that part a bit more. well BAD IDEA. i always start at the root, and when i placed it on my hair it sounded as tho i had wet hair.. the next thing i knew it had SINGED ALL MY BANGS OFF. i am outraged at this because now i am completely self conscious of showing my face anywhere because i have stubby hair shorter than a centimeter for bangs. NO ONE SHOULD EVER BUY ONE OF THESE AGAIN!!!posted Nov 17, 2007Link to this post
