  • Excellent For Beachy Waves That Last 5 Star Rating
I've been using the Sultra Bombshell 1.5" curling iron for about 6 months now, and can say that it is an excellent tool. It makes perfect soft beachy waves for my medium-long length hair. I have color-treated hair that has been prone to dryness and breakage at the ends with my last curler, and while I've started applying a hair masque to my hair every week, I do think this curler is less damaging to my hair. Bonuses: it's sturdy (OK, I've dropped it 3 times) and with the universal voltage, it's perfect for international travel.

  • Great Buy! 4 Star Rating
I had to wait a while for Folica to restock the 1.5inch. I dont own any sultra products so i cant compare this with any other products in their line. I prefer bigger and looser waves so i opted for the 1.5 and i am very satisfied with my purchase. I like the fact that there is no clip. I can see the difference in my curls with/without the clip. The rod heats up quickly. The glove comes in handy but if youre not used to it, be careful, and figure out a method that suits you. Also, my curls stayed the whole day and i have a lot of medium thickness hair.

  • Great Curling Wand 4 Star Rating
I love the loose curls that are so popular right now but I have not been able to achieve it; my hair does not seem to want to hold a curl. I saw the Sultra wand and decided to give it a go. It works great and my hair finally hold a curl with it. I love it!

  • Perfect For Volume!!! And Perfect Curl Every Time!!! 5 Star Rating
Love this wand! Gets very hot and creates a perfect big curl! Love that with this one, you don't need to work hard to wrap the hair around the want: because it is so sick, you only need to wrap a lock around 2-3 times, and not keep wrapping and wrapping your hair around a thinner wand trying to fit all of the hair on the hot part at once, ending up wrapping the hair on top of the hair, which is already on the wand, so the curl is not distributed equally.

  • Mixed Reviews On This One. 3 Star Rating
Kind of on the fence about this one. I've had and loved my Sultra 1 inch for a few years now, and I have to say that that one is definitely the better of the two. The one improvement I will give the 1.5 inch is the covered tip (I've scalded my neck super badly with the 1 inch due to the lack of covered tip, That aside, the 1.5 inch pretty much fails where the 1 inch succeeds. I like the one inch because the curls hold really well, even if I don't let the curl fall off into my hand and cool. In order to get any kind of staying power (and it honestly isn't much) out of this iron, you have to keep the hair on the iron for at least ten seconds and then let it fall off into your hand to cool for another 10 seconds. Will I still use it from time to time? Sure, but I can also achieve almost the same beachy curls with the 1 inch in half the time (just brush them out with your fingers and shake your head a bit to relax them). In short, if you've got the one inch, no need to spend the $$ on the 1.5.
