My Lil Magic Wand......This worked really great.....I made my long hair into a baby doll hair. My hair is really long and with this little curling iron I made really cute tight curls it is pretty nice and fun. Curling iron really heats up and stays hot but tip is cool but works better for small fingers haha . Amazing Mini Curling IronI have 2 other mini curling irons that just didn't do the job so i stopped using them all together. My hair is short so having a small curling iron is essential when I want to curl my hair. I actually love this curling iron because it made better curls than my mini Conair curling irons! Love how small it is, not fat, so it makes small curls. My hair is short so that's a plus. My Hair Thanks YouLove, love, love this product. I bought this product because I was looking for yet another volumizing spray that would not make my hair greasy or limp. The heat protectant was just a bonus for me. This is the only product I have been using for the past year and a half and will never have to look for another volumizer. Fantastic, But Protect Your Fingers!the best thing - it truely gets hot enough to style hair in curls that will hold.
the worst part - it gets HOT. :) the plastic tip at the end is tiny - the longer tips you're used to using to help control the curl have trained you that your fingers have more room than they have on this mini.

Best Little Curling Iron Ever!Like most people, I got this curling iron for free, but it works like a dream! With my other curling irons, they take a long time to heat up, they get too hot for my hair, and when I try to pull the iron out of my hair, the hair snags and/or breaks off. The Solia curling iron does none of that at all. It is very quick to heat up, probably about a minute, I can touch the curling and it never burns me but curls the hair perfectly, and when it's time to work the hair out of the clip, it never pulls any of the hair out, the hair just slips out of the clip and curling rod. The only thing I really have to say about it is once you get to the last pieces of your hair, it does get kind of hot, so if you have fine hair, you might want to work quicker, or let it cool down a tad, but it probably won't break off your hair. Big Things Come In Small PackagesI have to day, I received this iron as a freebie with an order. I didn't think much of it as the video tutorials showed individuals with short hair. I one the other hand have long hair that almost reaches my waist. I tested it the same day I received it out of curiosity.
Here is my list of pros:
1. The barrel of this teeny tiny iron measures 3.5-inches, plus an extra .5-inch for the 'tip', for a total length of 4-inches. The grip/handle measures 4.25-inches (not including the swivel cord, because who holds a hair tool by the swivel cord, right?!). The total length of this curling iron is, drumroll please, 8.25-inches. Coincidently, it measure 1-inch less in length than the "croc mini flat iron" I ordered.
2. The barrel, once plugged in and switched to "on" will heat up extremely quick, In exactly 1-1/2 mins, this iron is smokin'.
3. Compact and light, you can store this easily and safely anywhere.
4. After receiving this iron, I don't need to purchase a clipless iron, because as one of the video reviewers mentioned, the clip is so thin it's almost not there.
5. Hair glides beautifully along the barrel
Now for the cons:
1. If you don't need/use high heat, you may potentially burn your hair, so you MUST work in small sections and work quickly in order to avoid burning your hair, but this is the case with many tools where users switch their tool to the highest setting and singe their hair without properly thinking about their hair type and the amount of time needed to gain the result they need without over doing it.
2. If you want to work with larger sections of hair, your hair will snag at the base of the barrel where the clip meets the grip. This will not be an issue if you intend to use it like a clip-less iron, but is an issue if you use it with the clip. I used it with the clip (I prefer the clip) and quickly retrained myself to work with small/thinner sections of hair.
3. If you have long hair like I do, the first few times using it will seem long, but with practice you can get your entire head done in 20-mins...I did it, so can you!!! :-)
4. The tip gets VERY HOTTT! I burned the tip of my fingers and learned to whip out my friend, the heat resistant glove...if you order this, you must air on the side of safety and USE A HEAT RESISTANT GLOVE. I can not emphasize this enough.
Okay, so that was a lot of information. I hope this will help you gals/bros out there to clarify some of the ups/downs of this tool. All in all, I am super happy folica.com threw this in as a freebie when I purchased my croc mini flat iron, otherwise I would have never given it a try.
