TracyIndependence, MO, USAReally Works!I bought this iron after reading the reviews and figured I couldn't go wrong with the price and I was right! For $20.00, I was able to create great-looking spiral curls on my first try. The iron gets very hot very fast and I like the digital temperature gauge. My hand did hit the controls a couple of times but that was not a big deal and I'm sure I will stop doing that the more I use it. I have a large barrel ceramic CHI curling iron that cost over $100 but I actually think my hair looks better after using this iron. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to create long curls.posted Jan 10, 2010Link to this post

SamNew JerseyLove ThissssssI have really thin hair that is hard to get volume with but this curler makes the cutest tightest curls that last quite a while. Fixing up the curls is fast and easy (takes me like 15 minutes) which means my hair looks good all day. Recommend it 110% for others with thin hair.posted Jan 8, 2010Link to this post

AmandaMichiganLove ItMakes perfect tight curls and relaxed wave-like curls all while being extremely easy to use. I got perfect results on my first try and tons of compliments! The temperature gets really hot and works just as well on my friends thick hair as my thin hair. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys a polished, professional style without having to go to the salon to get it.

KaraSan Francisco, CAOkay But You Can Get The Same Effect With A Regular Barrel IronI must own about 6 different types of curling irons and I thought this one would produce more of a spiral but it doesnt really do anything different than what you could do with a regular barrel iron. If you want a spiral curl you cant clamp the hair and roll upwards with the curling iron horizontal to the floor. You have to:-Clamp the iron near the top of your head almost *vertically* and roll a few inches of hair, hold a few seconds-Then, slightly release the clamp a little, slide the iron down while rolling the next few inches of hair, then hold a few seconds, etc. -Keep repeating until you get to the bottom of your hair. You will look like Goldilocks at first, but leave the curls the way they are until theyre cool. Once your hair is cool, brush through with your fingers.I personally thing a regular barrel is easier to work with if you use the method I described above. The shorter clamp is helpful sometimes but not worth buying this iron if you already have a regular curling iron.posted Sep 11, 2008Link to this post

JamieOhioNot As Versatile As Its Cracked Up To BeThis has a very stubby clamp. it only clamps small amounts of hair at a time. I thought this would be a good tool to help me grow my hair back out (to use with a variety of hair lengths as my hair grew). This is really for making long spiral curls, not for shorter hair.posted Jan 10, 2008Link to this post
