Fab On Curling My Hair But Ronchy On Durability.
Purchased about 1 year ago and have loved it but.........on Easter Sunday AM getting ready for church, the spring to hold the hair in the curler came loose. It is a tiny glued connection in 2 places and 1 glued place gave way. Called P.M. and they want me to ship it to them at my expense, send original receipt from a salon (only), $35 will be charged to my credit card or a $35 money order..........no personal checks. And it could be more $ for the repair. AND 6 TO 8 WEEKS BEFORE I GET IT BACK. If you can do without your fab curler for 6 to 8 weeks, willing to keep your receipt for years, purchased from a rep salon only, then I say buy the thing but go in with your eyes opened. These are NOT cheap.........having a back up is not going to happen at my house........;D

Curl Stays For 2 Days!! - Tip Stays Cool!
I have been using this curling iron for 2 years and really like it. I have thick and very long hair.

    Here is what I like:
    1. It gets hot enough for my hair - I don't know the actual degrees, but the curl holds for 2 days. I have never burned my hair with this iron even at the highest setting.
    2. The tip stays cool so it is easy to do the curl
    3. The spring holds the hair firmly and does not slip out.
    4. My hair glides across the barrel.
    5. The buttons for controlling the temperature and turning it on and off do not interfere when I'm actually curling my hair.
    6. The kickstand is insulated. However, it is just like all the other kickstands and does not stick in one place. It works.
    7. There are no smells as it heats up or when it stays hot.

    Kickstand Does Not Work
The iron performs well and the hair glides easily over the shaft; however, the kickstand does not hold the iron up and off of counter surfaces....instead it collapses and the iron rests on the rubber. I have had curling irons of all different brands for at least 30 years and none of them ever worked like this. I have been told from my beautician that I purchase it from that her PM rep said that this is the way the iron is designed to "rest"....which cannot be true. I think it's a manufacturing defect. She has several irons in her shop and they all rest on the rubber part of the kickstand...the kickstand does not hold the iron up and off of counter surfaces. This can't be right.
