DawnHairAuburnNormal HairColor Treated HairLong Lasting CurlsI have the 3/4, 1 and 1 1/4 inch barrels. They are all fantastic! I can curl my whole head and I have medium coarse hair down to my bra strap in about 15 minutes. The curls hold really well without any product. I curl it in the morning and it holds until the next day.posted Nov 30, 2012Link to this post

LyndeaBritish ColumbiaHairBlondeFine or Thin HairWorst Luck!I bought the 1" and the 1 and 1/2", both the Pink Titanium Hot Tools. I read a million reviews on which to buy and finally decided on it, the pink helped too! My 1" seems to be perfect still but I finally unpacked my 1 and 1/2" curling iron and it lasted 4 days before the on and off switch completely broke, like in half! So now I can't turn it on. I really loved it for the 4 days, but now I am heart broken. So the curling part is great but not in love with the quality I guess.posted Oct 10, 2012Link to this post

Beverly B.United StatesHairColor Treated HairDisappointed! This curling iron is heavy in weight. I have had many curling irons but this one besides being heavy, the spring is so stiff and not easy to open. It grabs the hair too tight and leaves ridges in my hair. I blow my hair dry and only use curling iron the second day to give it a little more body. I have fine color treated hair in very good condition. I know how to use a curling iron and this one is a disappointment. I even tried lightly grabbing my hair with the iron, however, it does not slide through the hair very well. The curling looks nice, but that is about all. I am sorry to say that I do not recommend this iron.posted Aug 18, 2012Link to this post

IzzieHairThick or Coarse HairHigh Expectations With Very Poor Results.
Unfortunately, I really did not like this curling iron. I ordered the 1 and 1/2 " barrel iron after reading so many positive reviews. I have very thick hair and it is rare to find a curling iron that actually gets hot enough to curly my hair and keep it curled for hours. I have been researching Hot Tools for a while now and finally decided to go for it.
What a bummer! After it came in the mail I rushed to use it right away. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to get the curls to look nice and smooth and I thought it looked pretty good. Until about three minutes later when the curls started to not only fall but get frizzy. Not to mention the terrible odor. I could not get the burnt smell out of my hair for a few days.
I decided I would wait a few days and give it another try, and it was almost worse the second time. I just cannot get over the burnt smell and the poor results.
I will definitely be returning this product and will continue searching on folica for the perfect curling iron.posted Aug 14, 2012Link to this post -
CarolinePittsburghHairDark BrownCurly HairFine or Thin HairThe Handle Gets Too Hot To HoldI agree with other posters. I really liked the look of the curling iron and the curls came out nice, but I had a very hard time holding the clamp where your finger goes. The curling iron heated up too much and I kept burning my finger. I've never had a problem with past curling irons, so I think Hot Tools needs to revamp this particular iron. I am exchanging mine for another brand and I do not recommend this product unless you want to burn your fingers constantly!posted Aug 10, 2012Link to this post

JanetHairLight BrownOily HairFine or Thin HairGreat But...I have straight, fine hair and was looking forward to wavy locks thanks to this high-rated iron. Immediately after I got It I tested it and the handle, where the thumb goes, got pretty HOT. I really thought about returning it but my curls did last and that never happens. I need to grab it from the tip so I don't feel the heat that much. To double check I even asked the lady who cuts my hair (she owns a hot tools too) and she has no problems with hers. If that handle wouldn't get so hot fast, then it would be perfect!posted Jul 30, 2012Link to this post

JulieHairDark BrownNormal HairGreat Basic Curling IronI love this curling iron. It really does the trick. I have medium length hair and lots of layers. The lower settings give me a perfect beachy wave and the higher ones lots of romantic curls!posted May 10, 2012Link to this post

JoanHairLight BrownColor Treated HairFine or Thin HairVery Good!I ordered this curling iron for my 82 year old mother who has to curl her hair daily. She loves it! She is so happy to buy a good product instead of the non professional product she use to use. She wishes she had this product years ago. She does not have a problem using it too. She said the product is very easy to use.posted May 7, 2012Link to this post

Debra B.HairMedium BrownFine or Thin HairOn/off Switch Broke! Just Not Hot Enough!I gave this curling iron a week or so. It took a long time to curl the hair even though it got to 450 degrees and I usulaly do not have that problem. Returned the item after the On/Off switch just broke off after using it a handful of times. Didn't replace it for those reasons.posted Apr 18, 2012Link to this post
