AnnUnited StatesStopped Heating Soon After BuyingAt first it worked very well, although it was sometimes difficult to turn on. Heated up very quickly. However, after only being used approximately ten times it does not heat up. Very disappointed.posted Aug 27, 2009Link to this post

JuanitaWashington DCBroke! The coating started to wear off within a couple of months. Now the casing is inexplicably broken. I expected better from Hot Tools.posted Jul 16, 2009Link to this post

WendyIndianaThis iron is hard to turn on. The spring is not very good, so my fine hair slips through it. It sometimes takes 3 attempts to hold the hair. It heats up very quickly and does a fine job of curling.posted Apr 17, 2009Link to this post

AshleyMacomb, MIOk, But Not AmazingI bought this curling iron almost a year ago. I find that the on/off button sticks all the time and takes patients to get it to work. Once it turns on, it heats up fast. The thing I dont like about it is it doesnt have a very strong spring and my hair slides through when I begin to roll my hair around the barrel. I bought this style of curling iron because I have used Hot Tools Professional Curling Irons before and really liked them, especially the super strog spring they advertise on other models, which this one just doesnt have. When I do get it to curl, it curls well, and makes my hair feel smooth and healthy, but it isnt easy to use.posted Apr 15, 2008Link to this post

AnonymousSan Francisco, CABad Heating ElementI have had many problems with this iron. The second time I used it, I only had it on my hair for maybe 30 seconds and when I released, a chunk of my hair burned off! It always makes my hair smell burnt no matter what level of heat I have it set on. Also, after about 6 months of use (about 4 times a month) it stopped heating all together. I would not recommend this product.posted Apr 6, 2008Link to this post

BonnieMinneapolis, MNControl Buttons StickI also own this curling iron and am experiencing the same problem as another reviewer mentioned. It takes several attempts to get the iron turned on because the on/off switch sticks. When I finally get the power on, it heats up extremely quickly and does a nice job of curling my fine hair.posted Mar 21, 2008Link to this post

BarbeeHeats Up QuickI like that it heats up in seconds. I dont like that my very fine hair slips off the barrel if I dont use hairspray on it first.posted Feb 9, 2008Link to this post

AnonymousWashington, DCControl Buttons StickI purchased one of these and and the control button was always sticking and it would take numerous pushes to get the thing to come on. So I took it back to where I purchased it and showed the sales person. She asked if I would like to return it or get another. I told her I would try again and maybe the one I got was just defective. So I get the new one home and it does the same freakin thing. It takes a lot of "fiddling" with to get it to come on and then to shut it off. It doesnt work any better than any other curling iron out on the market. I have tried most of them so trust me. These arent worth the inflated price that they cost.posted Jan 20, 2008Link to this post
