PenniUnited StatesHairLight BrownDry HairCurly HairColor Treated HairPerfect But Heavy.I bought the large 1 1/2 because I wanted a little more body than my straightening iron could give me. This size is perfect. It is a little heavy to hold but still manageable. I would buy it again, for sure.posted Mar 29, 2011Link to this post

Mg A.HairDark BrownThick or Coarse HairHighly Recommended!Worth every penny. Been using this for a couple of years and it never fails to deliver. Makes hair naturally straight, shiny and manageable in such a short time. Iron heats up faster than you can say your fullname. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.posted Feb 21, 2011Link to this post

EvaNYHairLight BrownDry HairCurly HairThick or Coarse HairNice Spiral CurlsThis is my first curling iron and so far, so good. When I was doing my research to decide on which one to buy, I tried my friend's curling iron and it did nothing to my hair, so I was a little sceptic, but the reviews were good on this one, so I gave it a try... And I must say I like it... First I tried to curl my hair using the clip, but maybe I am doing something wrong and must learn the tricks, but it only gave some waves to the ends and did nothing to the top. I have a long hair so once I curl the hair around the curling iron, the top part of the hair strand is not touching the iron directly, and does not get the same heat as the ends. But I am not giving up and will keep trying =) But what I love is to just wrap a strand around it, without using the clip. It makes beautiful spiral curls that hold the whole day. I got so many compliments at work yesterday =) It heats up quickly and keeps hot... I learnt my hair requires a high temperature, so I don't want to use it very often...posted Feb 4, 2011Link to this post

NinaHairThick or Coarse HairGets Hot, But Smells StrangeHaving owned many curling irons from various brands, this Hot Tools curling iron is my least favourite one so far. It does heat up quickly and stays hot, however it made my hair smell extremely burnt, and my hair did not slide well between the plates. After curling, it left my hair with a somewhat crunchy feel. Because of this, Ive only used it about twice since i got it.posted Jan 24, 2011Link to this post

Judith A.FloridaHairBlondeDry HairColor Treated HairFine or Thin HairThick or Coarse HairChemically Treated HairIt's HotThis iron gets really hot and curls the hair well. The large 1&1/2" size is somewhat heavy on the end and the wire that it sits on doesn't want to hold it up. It could use a stronger, thicker wire. I like the iron alot. Wish I had gotten the tourmaline in this brand, like my old Chii. It is great for the price. It really is worth the money.
DON"T leave it on or unattended. And when I say it gets hot - be careful, it can burn you!!!posted Oct 9, 2010Link to this post -

KarynHairDark BrownNormal HairColor Treated HairChemically Treated HairMakes Your Hair Smell Gross!I bought this curling iron in 1 1/4 inch and also in 1 inch barrel sizes. I have tried many Hot Tools curling irons, and this is by far my least favorite. This iron does heat up quickly and stay hot, but so do all the Hot Tools I have tried. I found that my hair did not glide along the barrel very well. It kinda dragged and broke off quite a bit of my hair in the process. My curls did not look smooth and they felt slightly crunchy, not bouncy. To me, the worst part about this iron, was the smell it left on my hair. None of the other Hot Tools irons that I've tried ever left such an unattractive smell in my hair. I have returned this iron and will be sticking with my Hot Tools NanoCeramic. I love it.posted Sep 18, 2010Link to this post

SwetaTexasMore Damaging To Your HairThe most expensive Hot Tools Curling iron, however, i was disappointed. Makes your hair smell funky, makes the curls feel hard and not bouncy. I love the NanoCeramic one (black & white) one.posted Sep 2, 2010Link to this post
