Best Curling Iron E.v.e.r.I've had this curling iron for 2 years now, and I must say that it is beyond what I expected. The past curling irons I've owned either burned my hair, never produced curls that lasted more than 4 hours or took a decade to heat up!
This curling iron is completely different! I love the easy to use digital temperature control. The iron heats up within SECONDS! The ceramic encasing doesn't burn or dry out my hair. The curls that it produces holds for 12+ hours.

EhI have a CHI flat iron and I love it. I actually use it to curl hair by twisting it at the root and then pulling down to the tip. I recently got a CHI curling iron, and I'm less than impressed. I have the 1 1/4 inch barrel, which is way too huge to even really make curls. I think for the most part when I want curls, I'll go back to using my flat iron and twisting it around, because it makes tighter, more lasting curls.posted Apr 19, 2011Link to this post -

Cord TanglesGreat curling iron & has really low heat setting for my fragile hair.

They Don't Last! Don't Waste Your Money!I did my research before purchasing a curling iron and finally decided that this was the one. I bought it about 4 months ago, and the coating is already chipping off! Not only that but the iron will no longer stay on unless I hold the button down, which now makes the iron impossible to use. This is my second product from CHI that has failed me. I bought a straightener from them, that I had for about 6 months. One day is just decided to not turn on! I take a lot of care of my hair tools, especially when I'm spending this kind of money on them! Don't waste money on CHI products, there too expensive to not last.posted Feb 7, 2010Link to this post

Good Then BadSo for the first couple months that i started using my Chi curling iron, it was great. It held curls made my hair look awesome. But then the coating began chipping away and i didnt really notice it till my hair started getting soo fried!! and i dont dye my hair my hair so it is usually really healthy. Then i looked at my curling iron it was sooo chipped off, i was very dissapointed. Even my hairdresser couldnt believe how fried my hair was. GreatI've owned this curling iron for a couple of months now and I have to say I love it! I have owned MANY different brands of curling irons, but this one is the best one by far. Sad But TrueI was so eager to receive my Chi iron, already a comsumer of their styling products, I hoped their iron would be of like quality. My first few months were great, fun, big curls & lots of compliments. Soon, the ceramic plating starting flaking off when it was in my hair. Instead of dandruff the iron was placing ceramic coating flecks in my locks. What a disappointment; I thought ceramic meant ceramic, not "coated". Chi Doesn't DisappointI have been a fan of Chi hair and styling products for years. I bought the 1 1/2 inch jumbo curling iron to replace a Tigi BedHead curling iron that decided to burn some of my hair off one morning. I wish I would have made this purchase a lot sooner. The curling iron is great, heats up fast, produces great lasting curls, is easy to use, and I like that I can lower or increase the heat settings.
