JoycePhiladelphia, PAHairAuburnDry HairColor Treated HairThick or Coarse HairRelaxed HairChemically Treated HairDoes The JobI was looking for a curling iron with enough heat to straighen & curl my permed colored & long hair. This iron certainly has the heat & I'm satisfied with the curl. That being said, my hair does not hold a curl even coming from the beauty shop without a lot of holding products which I don't like. Whether this is because my hair is long, or for some other reason I don't know. I use this iron to curl my hair, then use the appropriate size roller to get the look I want. I would buy Babybliss products againposted Dec 17, 2011Link to this post

Debra H.New JerseyHairDark BrownCurly HairColor Treated HairThick or Coarse HairToo Heavy To Wield !I feel this curling iron weighs too much ! It makes it very hard to maneuver the curling iron. I think there are many other irons out there that are feather light and can do the same job.posted Feb 9, 2011Link to this post

Mary AndrewsDon't Get Get ItTerrible don't get it Your will curl for 3 minutes then goes straight. And if you turn it up higher it burns your hair thiniking that it would keep the curl.posted Apr 8, 2010Link to this post

SissiGreat For Medium To Long Coarse HairI bought the Babyliss to achieve long lasting curls. I have naturally curly fine hair and was looking for a product that would take the kink out of my hair while curling it at the same time. The Babyliss is a good product but I think the 1 1/2" is a bit too big for my hair length. My hair is layered and falls around my chin. Also, the tip gets exetremly hot and almost untouchable when curling. I would also advise others to be very careful when placing the iron close to the scalp - it get very hot!! I think the product is good for people with longer and coarser hair. My hair did not hold the curl for longer than 10 minutes without gobs of hair spray.posted Feb 23, 2010Link to this post

LisaWorked Great On My Thick Hair!Prior to this, I bought a Hot Tools iron and HATED it, so I was a bit nervous....but this one works so much better for me! I have long, thick hair and I needed a steady, easy to use iron....and this one fit the bill. I got the recommendation about using the right heat styling product with the iron, and I think that made a HUGE difference! I def recommend this iron if you have thick hair.posted Jan 31, 2010Link to this post

KimNot Worth ItI took a chance on this curling iron, with one review and I now know better. The iron gets hot however, I can't keep a curl. My hair is not fine and I have never had this issue before. The iron also makes my hair smell which you can smell through out the day. I was hoping this was because it was new but this is now into 9 months old. I should have returned it when I had the chance but it didn't. I would not recommend this iron.posted Jan 19, 2010Link to this post

KristinaSeattle, WAHairFine or Thin HairA+I have super fine hair that stubbornly refuses to hold a curl in the absence of a cement truck full of product. Upon receipt of this iron, I plugged it in and seconds later was using it on half heat to place a few curls in my hair before rushing off to work with a ponytail and a light dusting of hairspray. 8 hours into my 10 hour shift, my hair is still curled! I keep catching glances at myself in mirrors in patients rooms and wondering, "Who is that cutie pie with the adorable bouncy ponytail?". I cant wait to get home and play with some more styles! Im unable to testify to the durability of this iron, as Ive owned it less than a day, but as far as quality and effectiveness it is the best curling iron Ive ever owned. Heats quickly and evenly, multiple temperature settings, long cord, good heavy feel, no snagging of hair noted. Far superior to other brands Ive used - Wigo, Helen Of Troy, Hot Tools, Conair, Revlon.posted Mar 7, 2009Link to this post
