Tove R.HairDark BrownCurly HairDries Great If It Fits!I read one review that really helped me decide to buy this product and it proved correct---but, not only do you need to make sure that the end of the hairdryer nozzle is not more than 1.75" wide but also make sure that your hairdryer has a matte finish to it, if it has a slick or shiny surface the diffuser will slide right off of your hairdryer. I have the ceramix extreme baby bliss hairdryer and it's the only one that will work with the Helen of Troy diffuser. It does work great, but again it's not going to work with all hairdryers. Overall, good product.posted Jun 26, 2011Link to this post

Joanne L.MontrealHairLight BrownColor Treated HairThick or Coarse HairGreat DiffuserI have extremely thick wavy hair and have been trying to wear it au naturel. This diffuser is fabulous. Fits perfectly on my elchin blow dryer and massages my head while using it. The diffuser works beautifully, not frizzing my hair but bringing out the natural waves.posted May 11, 2011Link to this post

Susie W.What Size Hairdryer It FitsFor what it's worth, the barel of my hair-dryer has an outside-diameter of 1.75"
(1 & 3/4") and fits AOK. And that seems like the middle of the range.posted Apr 7, 2011Link to this post -
Laura1HairBlackNormal HairColor Treated HairBest Diffuser Ever BoughtI bought a diffuser like this one 15yrs ago and I LOVE how it drys my hair, with lots of volume. I just found this one on line and I thought I would never find another one like my old one. Now I can retire my old diffuser that has been taped, glued, and missing half the teeth. The long teeth allows you to scrunch for curly hair or comb through while drying for straight hair. You can also just dry your roots for volume while letting your ends dry to a natural curl. Can't say enough good things about this diffuser!!!posted Dec 23, 2010Link to this post

CrystalNew York, N.Y., U.S.I had been thinking about purchasing this product for a while but was completely skeptical. I'm completely new to diffusers, and so finding the right one was important. Lately, I had been using the typical universal diffuser. At a beauty supply in Bronx, N.Y., I ran into the Soft Touch diffuser (though it wasn't Helen of Troy, it was precisely as is pictured at folica and also called Soft Touch). I bought the product, and evaluated the differences between the universal diffuser and the Soft Touch. The typical wide, hard, and plastic diffuser is good. (Though that was all I knew of and was familiar with thus far.) I typically HAD to dry my hair from the tips, underneath, and blow some air around. When I found that my hair was somewhat dry, or at least 40-50% dry, I would turn my head over and begin drying around (to dry the bottom of my head). Later, I would go in closer to create the volume that I wanted and dry my hair completely. I would have to toy with my hair the remainder of the day to get the volume and lift I wanted at the top of my head. (More work along the way!) When I tried the Soft touch, I could dry the tips, underneath where the scalp laid, and on top where I needed some lift (as my hair was weighing the top down). I could do all of this while it was still wet (which allowed me the chance to dry and "volumize", as opposed to drying first and later "volumizing", which caused frizz). The Soft Touch made it easier and much quicker to dry my hair with the results that I wanted. The rubber tips, as opposed to the hard, plastic universal diffuser didn't cause unruly or frizzy curls, instead, it dried my hair quicker at the roots than a typical diffuser would DUE TO the (genius) air vents located at the rubber tips that allow you to massage, volumize, and dry your hair all at once. Speaking more at the core, while this product is indeed a fantastic find for curly haired girls, it may not be a fantastic fit for your hair dryer. While it did fit my hair dryer, it was rather short and stubby for my long blow dryer. The diffuser fits, though it isn't tightly secure. It does wiggle a little, simply because the diffuser's open end is short and stubby, but it isn't the end of the world. Overall, I give this product a "good" because the Soft Touch is in my opinion genius, gentle, and indeed a must have for those curly haired gals who need that extra volume at the top due to the weight of water and hair products (simply gravity). Its incapability to fit most blow dryers and fit securely (like a universal product) is a con. On a different note, I wonder whether this "genius" idea to produce air vents via the rubber tips is a healthy approach to drying one's hair. Typically, I use low heat and low air, but low heat is still heat, and this product is allowing the heat to go straight to our scalp. Just a thought. (Sometimes, much like silicone based products, aren't long lasting results, overtime they alter the condition of our hair.)posted Dec 11, 2009Link to this post
