Satin Smooth Professional Heated Mitts

StardustgirlThese Are My Favorite Spa Gadget! After wanting a pair of these for a couple of years, I finally bought them (irresistible sale price, plus a Folica special, plus ebates pushed me over the edge). I wish I'd gotten them sooner - they're SO relaxing! Well worth the price, even with no sales.
I garden and use my hands a lot. I go through a lot of hand cream to keep them happy. I knew from having experienced these in a spa setting that they really helped with keeping the skin on my hands soft and smooth. A bonus is that the heat is sufficient to help with aches and pains when I overdo it digging / keyboarding / etc. I find it actually works better for aches than resting my hand on a hot water bottle, which is what I used to do. The 3-temp setting is nice because some days 1 is just right and on others I want the heat of the 3 setting.
They seem to be well-made, cords firmly attached and the controls work smoothly. The price on these is fabulous, especially when compared to another pair on this site that sells for $40 more, and has only a 1 year warranty (these have a 2 year warranty). The cord is long enough so that you don't have to have an extension cord in most cases. The white vinyl is easy to clean if hand cream gets on it. They are rather plain-looking compared to some I've seen with cute colored fabric on the outside, but for the price, I can probably make my own cover to spruce them up.
I do find the suggestion to use these with plastic wrap on your hands amusing. That works great if someone else is putting them on you, but if you've mummified your hands in plastic wrap, it's really hard to get your hands in the mitts without pushing against the wrap and making gaps. I just found it clumsy. I'd recommend using disposable gloves instead. I did that today and it was so much easier.posted Dec 15, 2011Link to this post -
TheaOLIVE BRANCH, MSJust Like The ProfessionalsTHESE HEATED MITTS ARE JUST LIKE WHAT IS USED IN THE SALONS. WHY PAY A LOT OF MONEY WHEN YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF. I ALSO USE THESE ON MY HUSBAND'S HANDS, TRYING TO SOFTEN THEM UP SOME. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE THAT IS INTERESTED IN KEEPING THERE HANDS SOFT AND DO THEIR OWN MANICURES.posted Apr 6, 2011Link to this post

Robyn TannerLos Gatos, CAStiff...uncomfortable Heated MittsWhile they are smooth, the heated mitts are so stiff. They are less uncomfortable than the booties. Im shopping for softer, more flexible heated mitts.posted Jul 10, 2007Link to this post

NikkiNice Product :)Ive only had time to use it once so far, but I am quite pleased with it. The heat is relaxing to your hands, and they also help your favorite hand lotion to deeper penetrate to help moisture dry skin. Two thumbs up!posted Feb 17, 2006Link to this post

AnonymousSatin Smooth Is AccurateAfter purchasing this product and using it for only a week, I ordered another for my daughter. She is a medical student and washes her hands continuously, so they were fairly dry. She is now using these hand mitts a few times a week and her hands look fantastic. Neither of us can say enough about these mitts, we get the same results that we used to get from spa treatments.posted Jan 12, 2006Link to this post

CarolynGets The Job DoneMy dad uses these for his arthritis and they wotk pretty well. Id imagine theyd work just as well for moisturizing purposes. He especially enjoys the slide heat control as opposed to the more easily broken dial often found on such products.posted Apr 8, 2005Link to this post
