Fake Bake Self Tanning Lotion
-
MissmkBest Self Tanning Product!I am of French, Irish, and Middle Eastern decent. My skin is a natural olive tone when untanned. I have been going to the tanning salon for a little over a month now and when I want an extra boost to my tan I use Fake Bake. I rub it in really well and the color guide gives me an instant super brown color that I love. After I shower in the morning, I have a nice Bronze tan. After you wake up in the morning with this self tanner on though..im not going to lie..YOU REEK. The smell is very strong but I havent seen anyone else mention it here in the review section? I think its worth it though, even though it can get pretty uncomfortable when you are sleeping and you smell the bad smell. Makes you feel all dirty and grimey. Nevertheless, I have never used a better self tanning product and would purchase again.posted May 1, 2010Link to this post

WhitneyExcellent Except On The FaceAs long as you exfoliate well before applying and use gloves you will be extremely impressed by this product. I get tons of compliments when I use it. My roommates who still use tanning beds are still surprised when I tell them I used fakebake the past few nights before. Make sure you apply in a circular motion. The only downside is it will show up in your pores on your face. I just bought fakebake for faces and I'm going to try that. If anyone has reviews for another sunless tanner to be used on the face please write!posted Apr 14, 2010Link to this post

JenaJust Do What It Says!!Ok so people who say it washes off and is uneven... You did something wrong!!! Put it on in sections, rub it in completely, and don't shower until then next morning and it's fine! Yes you will see brown in the water but it is only the color guide! Not your tan. I am a natural red head so you can imaging how pale I am. I use it once or twice a week and it looks GREAT!!! I am also a hair dresser so my hands and lower arms get wet countless times every day and my tan will still last about a week. Yes it will fade off within 7 days and you need to reapply but it is still even. Even after 7 days IF YOU do what the bottle tells you to do. If you are not going to read the instructions AND fallow them.., don't use it.posted Mar 31, 2010Link to this post

RoxyGreat Product -no StreaksThis is great. I had never tried a self tanner because I was scared of streak and it getting on my clothes. This is great. Tans gradual. I had a good bas in less than a week. Use the Gloves.posted Mar 10, 2010Link to this post

WhitneyExcellent! This product is amazing. Does not stain, provides an amazing bronze tan. I get tons of compliments when I use this. The only downside is it does not work well on your face because it tends to show up in your pores. I'm going to buy the spray and see if that works better for faces.posted Mar 3, 2010Link to this post

ChristeeThis Actually Works!!!I don't leave reviews on anything, but I had to leave a review for this sunless lotion. I applied it lastnight and WOW, this morning I woke up - rinsed off the excess color (according to the directions) and WALA! I look like I have been on a week vacation in Hawaii! I hope it lasts as long as it says it does. My skin is very pale and without tanning, I look like a ghost. At first, I feared this lotion would be too dark on my pale skin, but it's not! It matches perfectly and did not come out drastic, like I thought it would. The only thing I did not do was put it on my face. I would recommend a darker shade makeup or compact.posted Feb 19, 2010Link to this post

KelliNo Comparison To Fake BakeThis stuff is absolutely amazing! It really does give you a "tan" not an orange tint. It really is easy to apply as well, but definitely use the gloves that Fake Bake provides. As long as you do a circular motion there are no streaks and the color guide makes it super easy to see where you have applied the lotion. I shower at night, apply a moisturizing lotion, then apply the lotion on at night, wait about 15-20 minutes before dressing and then in the morning I shower the color guide off and look like I just came back from Hawaii it's AWESOME!!!posted Nov 16, 2009Link to this post

BoGreat ResultsI have used a few self-tanning products and spray on tan with mixed results. The color was strange or was streaky. My girlfriend uses Fake Bake and wanted me to try it. She greased me down head to toe in this stuff. Much to my surprise, it worked really well. I had a nice even natural looking color. I'll definitely use this product.posted Aug 31, 2009Link to this post

AnonymousPros And ConsPros:Color looks very naturally, even afer two applications in a row.The face formula also looked natural.Went on smoothly.I have no streaky or trange looking areas. My knees, elbows and feet dont have too much color and they dont look bizarre.Cons:The rose water smell of it reminds me of old lady perfume! However, it doesnt really have an offense self tan smell. The end resuly isnt very dark. I applied a second time right ater showering (eight hours later) and still I think its not very dark. Three applications would give me my desired darkness. The color guide will get everywhere so cover anything youre coming into contact with.Okay, the person above who said it doesnt come off in the shower is delusional. Of course it does - a lot of it, but it is just the color guide, not your tan so dont worry about it. Also, the person who said she doesnt wash it off - thats not a good idea. The guide rubs of everywhere. Plus, if you were to get any wetness on you or get sweaty youd have a really embarrassing situation.Ive tried Lancome, Tan in a Can, Sun Laboratories, Faux Tan, San Tropez, Loreal, Neutrogena, a a few others that I cant even remember the name of and this is the most natural color of all. I do like the Faux Tan by Bare Esscentuals as well.posted Jul 28, 2009Link to this post
