MAVALA Stop for Nail Biting and Thumb Sucking
-
Thankful MomIt Works!I read the hundreds of reviews prior to purchasing this to help my 2-1/2 year old from sucking her thumb. I figured it wasnt too expensive to try. The first day I put it on she gagged a little but that did the trick. I applied every other day for a week or so and occasionally she tried the thumb but hated it. After a week, I never saw her put the thumb to mouth again. It could be a problem if the person uses their hands for eating as she got the occasional "bad taste" but it was only for a few days until we knew the habit was broken. Love this product.posted Aug 29, 2008Link to this post

CrisShe No Longer Sucks Her Thumb! My daughter sucked her thumb since babytime and nothing we tried got her to stop. But after using this product for one month, she has completely stopped!! She has not sucked her thumb for 4 months now and has lost the desire...we are talking about a child with a true thumbsucking addict! I highly recommend this product to everyone who has a child that sucks her/his thumb.posted Jul 25, 2008Link to this post

JudyNJStops Pre-schooler Nail-bitingMy 4 1/2 year old daughter had been biting her nails for several months and nothing I tried had worked. I searched the internet for remedies and after reading reviews of bitter nail polish chose Mavala. She hated it! The trick was to keep the bitterness tasting fresh with frequent applications and soon she had stopped biting almost completely. (I say almost because once in awhile Ill notice what appears to be a slightly eroded nail on one or two particular fingers, but I do consider her "cured.")posted May 30, 2008Link to this post

SoWorks!my 3 year old daughters thumb sucking was starting to affect her bite and the dentist recommended this product. it was hard for me to give it a try on her (the terrible bitter taste does not wash off--I tried it) but after a few nights with a struggle, the polish just became a reminder and within a few weeks, the habit which began in womb was broken! I kept painting her thumbs every day (it says every two, but I found she bear the taste if I didnt do it every day)for a while, but havent for quite a while and she hasnt began again. I only used a fraction of the bottle--very well worth the $9!posted May 17, 2008Link to this post

AmyNorthern CAWorked For Us!We used this product on our newly turned three year old daughter who was a chronic two finger sucker. We had prepped her for months that when she turns three her fingers wouldnt taste good and that there was to be no more sucking. We started using Mavala two days after she turned three and it worked! She didnt like it, cried when she put her fingers in her mouth, but she didnt suck! My husband and I both tried it and admit that it tastes horrible, but as long as it was safe and worked thats all that mattered to us. Our dentist was happy to see her not sucking and her teeth are already shifting back into place! Thanks for a great product that works.posted May 16, 2008Link to this post

AnonymousMiracle Product! My daughter had sucked her thumb for 5 years. Her thumb sucking had become her comfort object that she used to calm down when upset and tired. In the last year, when her thumb sucking had become more rather than less, we decided to try Mavala Stop after a friend raved about it. We applied it to her thumb 3 times in the first few weeks, and she has completely stopped sucking--from the first application, in fact. She got a little bitter taste while eating a bagel and that was it. I highly reccommend this product and wish I would have known about it years ago!posted May 12, 2008Link to this post

MikeFloridaMavalaI bit my nails since i had teeth. I am 34 now. I have tried a few nail bite products in the past. They never worked. I saw Mavala online and ordered a bottle in mid March of 2008. It has the most disgusting taste that stays in your mouth if you try to bite your nails. But it is amazing because after about 30 years of biteing my nails down to the nub I am proud to say it has been almost 2 months since I have bit my nails. All I can say is Thank you over and over. J. DyalBartow, FLVery Good ProductI used the Mavala Stop and it tasted so bad and so bitter that I stopped biting my nails immediately, and had no desire to put my fingers back in my mouth again!I also have have a 12 month old cat, who thinks Im his real mother and keeps sucking on my earlobe. I didnt know how to break him of this, so my granddaughter put the Mavala Stop on my earlobe and he took one taste, shook his head and spit a couple of times and walked away! This product works better than anything else Ive ever tried.posted May 9, 2008Link to this post
