MarieGeorgiaThe Miracle Thumbsucking StopperI was so amazed at how well this worked! At first I was sceptical, but I am so thankful - my 2 and a half year old stopped the first time we put it on! We only had to reapply 2 or 3 more times and then she stopped for good!! Thank you for making this miraculous product available.posted Jan 30, 2008Link to this post

JillUtahGreat Product!I used this product on my toddler because he just started sucking his thumb. It has worked wonders! It has to be reapplied every few days, but it really does work until it wears off. Be careful not to rub your childs fingers near your mouth cause it will rub off onto you, and trust me it does not taste good!It works so well that my son has started sucking on his knuckle instead!posted Jan 30, 2008Link to this post

JamieMonrovia, CaliforniaNot That Impressive For KidsMy two year old has been bitting his nails none stop. He bits so much he hardly has anything left! I bought this product hoping for a miracle...I put it all over his fingers and moments later he was bitting away. My husband put it on his and tried it and wanted to instantly spit it out. When we asked my son if it was yucky he said yes and kept bitting! I guess kids are will do what they want regardless, but I know my husband wont bit his nails anymore! :-)posted Jan 30, 2008Link to this post

AnonymousJacksonville Beach, FLIt Is Probably EffectiveI bought Mavala for my six-year-old son who started biting his nails about six months ago. I tried it on one finger myself to see if it was OK for him. It tasted really AWFUL and the bad taste was hard to get rid of, so I thought it was too harsh and returned it. Then I ordered the Orly "No Bite", which is not as strong, but it is also not as effective and has to be reapplied more, so it has not been successful in breaking his habit. I wish I had kept the Mavala. Good Luck.posted Jan 29, 2008Link to this post

Rhonda LeblancChesapeake, VirginiaThis WorkedTroy sucked his thumb since before he was born. Now in first grade he only sucked it when he was watching TV and relaxing or going to bed, but we felt it was time for him to stop. He was embarassed by it. After 1 horrible fit and 1 night of difficulty sleeping he is cured. And he is sooo PROUD. The first week he drueled a lot in his sleep and would wake up once in a while and brush his teeth to get the taste out of his mouth, but I am very happy with this product. I also put this on the frames of his glasses which he had a tendency to chew on. Worked for that too.posted Jan 27, 2008Link to this post

Brian F.BaltimoreIt Worked For My 6 Year Old And Helped Me Too!I had been trying to get my 6 year old daughter to stop sucking her thumb for as long as I can remember. Weve tried several things and nothing worked. We bought Mavala and she was gung ho about putting it on because she "wanted" to stop sucking her thumb. Well, the first night when we put it on, she woke up in the middle of the night and had a disgusting taste in her mouth. She wanted a drink to get the nasty taste out. The next night she wanted nothing to do with the Mavala. It kind of traumatized her to be honest. Since then she hasnt sucker her thumb regularly. She will pop it in once in a blue moon while shes sleeping but this is rare. She almost went cold turkey and she still refuses to put it on her thumb. Im fine with that as long as she keeps it out of her mouth.I have a bad habit of biting my nails and I used it too. Yuck! Ive been a lot better at keeping my fingers away from my mouth. Its tough though, because when you want to lick your fingers after eating a "finger food", youll get a mouthfull of Mavala too. I guess thats the price you pay to break an old bad habit.I definitely recommend this product for the young and old!posted Jan 27, 2008Link to this post

Elizabeth Smith6 Year Old ThumbsuckerWe bought this for my 6 year old who was a hardcore thumbsucker. We had an orthodontist put a thumbsucking appliance on him twice, six months each time and that didnt work. When we bought this product, he stopped in two weeks. We dpnt even need to put it on him anymore. This product is completely worth it!posted Jan 26, 2008Link to this post

JenniferNot Worth The MoneyIt washes off in a day. They are cheapier brands that stay on for days. It does taste bad. I have definitly had better. Also everytime i order from Folica theres a problem. This time they sent me two of the same order. Differnt packaging so i had to pay double shipping. I returned the one (never opened )and still had to pay for that shipping. Not impressedposted Jan 25, 2008Link to this post
