Choose flat or curved end depending on shape of nail and preference of use. Pull File out to thin the under surface of the nail and relieve pressure. Repeat several times.

Care: Clean after each use.

Works better than the one I own because it's narrower, just wish it were thinner too; to fit under the nail better w/o causing as much pain.

  • May Help Prevent, But... 2 Star Rating
This tool may be helpful if you only have the beginning of an ingrown toenail. Of course, there are all degrees of ingrown nails, and an infinite variation in toenail shape, etc., but the file grooves on this tool are simply too coarse to actually help file down the ingrowth if the toe is sore or the dermal invasion even mildly advanced. Just dont expect miracles. Its probably worth a try, at least. I tried it and did not find it helpful at all.
