    Sticky Mess!
I have used cold wax for years, but wanted to try a different brand/product to see if anything better exists. So far, it does not. This stuff is terrible! If you dont wait long enough after applying it, you have bits of wax ripping off and sticking to your fingers. If you wait a little bit too long, its a tedious process to get the brittle mess off. Even if you get the timing right, you wont be able to pull off the wax in one piece - still leaving an awful mess! I prefer regular wax with strips, where I can wash off any remainders.

    Best I Have Tried
I have been experimenting with hair removal for ten years. This is the best wax I have ever tried!! As for the "hard to remove" comments - there are a few tricks. First, if you thoroughly clean the area and then dust with a talc or baby powder, the was will grab more of the hair and less of the skin. Also, you cannot let the wax get too hard - this does make it tricky to remove. My secret? Baby Oil! It removes all the left over wax, and if youve done a large area, just take a warm bath and add a few drops of baby oil to the bath - the extra wax will come right off (no scrubbing, shaving, or tearing required).

    Best Wax On Market!!!
Surgi-Wax Expert! As an avid aqua-sports nut who needs hairless skin, Ive used every hair removal system imaginable and still couldnt obtain consistent salon results! Finally three years ago I tried Surgi-wax...and the results have consistently been amazing! Firstly--yes it is messing but thats the POINT! NOTHING removes hair like a hot, sticky liquid: enveloping each follicle, hardening to shape and then ripping in one go. If you follow directions; use common sense and keep an open mind youll get the knack of heating to perfect warm temp; mess-free application and gentle paralell-to-skin ripping without too much pain or effort. BONUSES:A) While other brands harp on their product "being gentle enough to not remove layers of skin," not they generally dont remove hair either. With Surgi-Wax, unless you have sensitive, problem or fragile skin all you generally remove are layers of dead skin cells: adding to the smooth, silkiness of the treatment! Consequently over a year or so of waxing this way youll also eventually lighten or lose old scars and blemishes--a bonus I love!B) Depending on your rate of hair growth--you will truly be hairfree and smooth for up to four weeks. Some brands say that the more you wax the thinner the hair growth becomes--Ive only found this to be true with Surgi-wax!SOME TIPS:1) Get to know your microwave. Dont blame the product for your lack of common sense--its wax--it can easily overheat to a thin, scalding consistency so microwave instead to a warm-hot sludge which pulls even the strongest follicle from the roots! About +/-25secs in a standard 1800watt micro!2) Choose a sensible location in your home at which to wax. I use my bed but spread a large, spare cotton sheet down first--if theres spillage/drips onto the sheet--I let it harden and then rip it off.3) Dont use this product on the bikini area UNTIL youve experimented elsewhere. Once it hardens-it does NOT EASILY wash off. So if you apply it and then have second thoughts about the dreaded ripping--youll have to spend at least ten minutes slowly peeling it off under tepid/hot water! That said-once you have used it PROPERLY on the bikini area and everywhere else--YOU WILL NEVER want to use ANYTHING else again!Incidentally this brand also makes the plastic strips for face and body...which though less messy only works almost as well.

    Wax Difficult To Remove
I bought this, along with Andreas kit and used each to compare the two. Surgi Wax does not use fabric strips and the wax is supposed to come off with the hair attatched. What a mess!!!! It came off in mostly small pieces despite how thick (or thin) I applied it, which made hair removal even more painful. Also, as it is not water soluble, it was difficult to get all the remaining small pieces off. While it did remove the hair, it was a terrible way to go and I would not purchase this again. (I liked Andreas much better; using the fabric strips over the wax to remove it was much easier and less of a mess, although they dont give you quite enough to do both legs. And while I would buy Andreas again, I think Ill bite the bullet and spend $60 or so to get the salon type warmer (to keep the wax uniformly warm throughout the process), wax, applicators and fabric and make it as hassle-free as possible).

    Thanks
I have tried the surgaring and the epil-stop products and they are all inferior to this product. Thank you for continuing the availability of this product.

    This Stuff Doesn't Come Off!
Ok...so I have to admit that when I first used the Surgi-Wax it worked out ok. I still remember having a bit of wax on my legs, but not too much. I saved the remaining mix (as they give you more than enough to use for both legs) and used it about 6 months later. I figured...its wax, right? Wrong. Initally attracted by the simple ingredients: Glycerin and bees wax, apparently after some time, these just DONT come off your legs. No amount of scrubing with soap and oil would remove the excess wax. I had a big date that night and didnt want bits of wax hanging off my legs....so I was forced to literally shave off the wax, ruining 4 razors in the process. This in turn gave me a nasty rash. It just sucked. I dont think I will buy this product for a long time because the convience of not using cloth strips is not worth not being able to remove the wax. Ill stick to sugar based formulas that wash off with water.
