GiGi Brazilian Bikini Wax Microwave Kit
-
YeetWill Repurchase!Great stuff! I achieved salon-quality results with this kit and will definitely repurchase. The brazilian waxing was done in half an hour and i did not have to reheat it in the microwave. Not sure if it is the right way, but i overheat the wax till it turns runny, then start using it as soon as it cools to a thicker consistency. Also make sure the wax cools and solidifies considerably before pulling it off. You cannot imagine the pain of removing the wax from a botched attempt. Also, melted wax on the fingers is incredibly hard to remove.posted Feb 26, 2007Link to this post

BunnyNMThis Product Was Greati had my hubby use this product and it worked great. this was a first time waxing experience! even know it hurt a little, it: the results were totally worth it! my skin was irritated after the waxing but only for a few hours. only one thing it did not get all the hair (as it said) but it almost got all of it. so i will defintly be waxing the rest off soon with this same productposted Feb 8, 2007Link to this post

PumkinTulsa, OKGreat For Armpits Too!NOTE: I purchased a Gigi Brazilian kit including the warmer, not the microwave version. That made things much easier. No running to the kitchen half-naked to reheat the wax. The wax worked very well on my bikini area so I waxed my armpits for the first time - a couple hours ago! Im a dark haired lady and even if I shave daily, my armpits always have a dark shadow from the hair below the surface. Not any more!I let the hair grow for about a week and a half, showered and blow dried the area before applying the wax - just to be sure there wasnt any perspiration. I covered the whole patch of armpit hair and ripped it off. Im impressed! There were, maybe, 7 or 8 hairs that I had to tweeze out afterwards. Its only been a couple hours and the redness is already gone. My pits are a bit tender - but thats expected. This wax is the best available. Yes - it does hurt, but not nearly as bad as other products I have tried. Also, for me, it is much easier without the wax strips.A word of caution - do not leave the wax sit for too long. If it hardens, you will have to pick it off in little chunks - along with the hair that comes with it. That is by far, more painful than ripping off the strip of wax all at once.posted Jan 14, 2007Link to this post

AnonymousFirst Time Waxing And It Worked Great!I actually did this (the waxing) for my wife. I had misgivings, but now that Ive done it once, she is willing to use this product (read: have me do it) the next time as well. She has never had a professional waxing, and never will as long as she can use this.I found that heating it in the wave takes a bit longer than the instructions said. I also found that the temperature range between too hot to apply and too cool to work is rather slim, so next time I will put the wax mug in a container of hot water after it is microwaved to extend its working time. The only areas where it did not take well were those where I trimmed the hair too short (between 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch long is best, IMO) and those where the wax had cooled too much. The included lotions are great, and plenty of wax is supplied for one waxing. The final Slo Gro lotion did an excellent job of calming the skin. The pain factor is there, for sure, but she is willing to do it again since the results are so good.posted Jan 8, 2007Link to this post

StaceyMIBeyond ExpectationsThis stuff is amazing! Its not rocket science on how to use this stuff, and it works like a charm! The only thing I have to say is that when I was heating it for the first time I had to nuke it for about 2 minutes. It says on the label to not heat it up for more than a minute, because it might be too hot to administer, but the temperature was fine it was just being able to break the top layer for the first.Other than that I have had no problems with this stuff. You heat it up, wipe it on, wait for a few minutes and peel it off! I also didnt feel nearly as much zip to it as you would with a typical strip wax.posted Dec 24, 2006Link to this post

Gigi UserGood ProductI like this Gigi wax system. It smells pretty good and removes the hair in the first try without sticking to your skin. I am not sure that the Slow Growth lotion works but it smells great. But dont misunderstand me, waxing hurts. Just take an aspirin or drink a glass of wine before you start. Play some soothing music and set aside 2 hours for the process.posted Nov 22, 2006Link to this post

DontneettoknowBrooklyn, NYGood StuffI read some reviews that were posted before i bought a product and the way people judge it by having pain using this wax. Now this particular wax and ANY other will cause pain. I mean it is absolutely understandable that this process is not easy, especially if you do it yourself. Other then that this is a good wax. Easy to use. Hair dont grow as fast as if you shave. So overall it is a good choice to make.posted Nov 11, 2006Link to this post

MarcWashington, DCWell Worth The Price! It is easy and effective- well worth the price. The only negative criticism is that the tub of wax does not last as long as the pre-wax and post-wax lotions. I, unfortunately, could only use it once but there was enough lotion for at least another waxing.posted Nov 10, 2006Link to this post

-*rbdNot Satisfied...With me this product did not work at all, the wax wouldnt even stick to me so I could actually get on with the waxing. Bad product and the consistency of the product was horrible. Didnt work for me at all. But I do love other Gigi products.posted Nov 6, 2006Link to this post

AnonymousGood StuffI was really pleased with this stuff! I liked it more than the Naughty Nads stuff Ive used before. The wax heated easily in the microwave and held its heat longer than other waxes Ive used. The pre-hon and prep oil included in the kit really protected my skin (unlike Nads which takes a layer of dermis off!). I had much less pain, redness, and irritation than usual after waxing. All the lotions are top-notch and smell really nice. If youve never done a home wax job before, it might be tricky (just because home waxing is tricky the first few times) but as an experienced waxer I found this kit easier to use and more effective than any other kit Ive tried. Its worth buying and trying!posted Oct 25, 2006Link to this post
