Jerome Russell's Hair Color Thickener for Thinning Hair
-
BoySlc, UtDoes The Job... And Does It Well.Im now a bit interested in dermatch, but havent tried it yet... I have the thinning hair upfront and NO male pattern balding. So its really used for bad thinning in the front... Major receding hairline in other words.I wear my hair up and spiky for clubs/weekends etc, as well as down an conservative for work etc. And if done right, this product makes my hair look SUPER thick. Its NOT messy and it does NOT drip??? I have no clue to why people say that... Its a very dry spray. BUT, it does give off a flat look vs. gloss... and I only spray it on the trouble spots... but the surrounding hair seems to pick up the spray which inturn, gives the dull look when the remaining hair is shiny. I add hairspray to shine it up... But NO go... the product doesnt accept gloss sprays too well.Main reason Im interested in dermatch... Is for direct scalp application.. without worrying about overspray etc.Secondly, I read something about someone swimming with dermatch and the product held through???Jerome Russel will stay on... But if you use a bit, it will be on your pillow in the morning when you wake... And it does take a good lather to rinse from the head... So it holds up kinda well. And it can make combing/brushing a bit tough for its like spray paint in the hair... Very dry/glue feel. If you put this product on... And dont wash your hair going into the second day... It will look even better!! Everything dries out and it looks super natural.posted Apr 13, 2005Link to this post

MatthewGood Stuff! If you have a balding or thinning area on the top of your head this product is a quick and good looking fix. The only draw back is that it leaves the hair with a "matte" finish which requires a good amount of hair spray to give hair a natural "gloss" as if your hair is "gelled" not recommeded if you want a natural "dry" look. Great for "spikey" or the "slicked back" look. One can gets you through about a week.posted Apr 12, 2005Link to this post

DaveBostonHad Better/had WorseI had a tough time getting the right color for me. Other than that, I rate this as Average because Ive had better (i.e. Top Coverage and Sprayonhair) and Ive had worse (the spray from the Toppik people).posted Apr 11, 2005Link to this post

HerbManhattan, N.y.Color Is Too Dark Or Too Lighti have been using this product for over a year. i have very thin hair at the crown and the product does cover it well, along with making the thinning hair much fuller. however, my hair is a dirty blond and the medium brown color is very dark and the brown/blond color is almost white! i have just ordered 2 other products to give them a try. in the meantime i am using the med. brown although it darkens my hair alot!posted Mar 8, 2005Link to this post

Ms. CCoverageThis product is nothing more than spray paint in can. Its unnatural, dry leaves you with a painted scalp with fuzz around it called hair. And its messy. Horrible product.posted Mar 2, 2005Link to this post

Anne ColemanPensacola, FloridaGreat ProductI am a balding woman, especially on top. This is a nightmare. However, this product has enabled me to keep my baldness a more-or-less a secret. If used carefully by someone who is really motivated and needs it, it is great. I use medium brown and mix it by spraying on the hair either silver gray or blond/brown. Several times down through the years, my catalog sources have stopped carrying this and I nearly panic until I find somewhere else it is available. I am so glad to find the Jerome Russell website.posted Feb 24, 2005Link to this post

Lovely LadyCaliforniaMessy ProductWhen I first applied this on my scalp I thought it was great until I wipped my forhead ~ then decided to wipe my counter........This stuff was everywhere. Not only that I had noticed that throught the day it seem to be more noticeable around the hairline. I did not like this product and it is a BIG MESS to use.posted Jan 21, 2005Link to this post
