Ok For The PriceThis product only lasted a few days which was disappointing. I originally had blue streaks done in a salon which cost $45.00 but it lasted at least 8 weeks. This product was easy to use and the result was good but unfortunately I have to do it weekly to maintain the color. I'd rather do that tho than pay and not spend time in a salon.

WeakI remember when manic panic first came out. I used it excitedly. It's okay but I've used better. I prefer RAW to manic panic any day. Raw will literally last 6 weeks on my pre lightened hair. With panic panic I give it about 8 days before it's faded. I don't mind fading if it fades decently. RAW generally leaves a nice stain on my hair when it fades. Manic Panic reds turn a horrid brassy orange, purples turn gray, and the blues turn to a sick chlorinated green color. Manic panic also is inadequate when it comes to blending colors and putting various shades and hues of one color in your hair. If you want to go the cheap route go manic panic but in the end you will end up having to touch up your hair more often and in the long run will not be as cost effective as a good demi-permanent like RAW.posted Sep 18, 2011Link to this post -

Used Everything Like It, Nothing ComparesI've used every brand, color, and anything else even almost like it on myself and others. All of it pales in comparison to Manic Panic. The color selection is second to none, and it always delivers-and leaves hair feeling NICE after. It's been around the longest. Some Work, Some Don't...I originally started off with AfterMidnight Blue and that colour was amazing. It lasted a long time and worked really well. It also faded beautifully. I then tried some Atomic Turquoise and did not have the desired effect I wanted. The colour turned out more greenish. Obviously, you need to dye your hair before you use this stuff, or it won't be nearly as vibrant as you want it to be. It will more than likely look muddy. I don't use this product anymore. If you want a very nice true blue, use the AfterMidnight Blue. Otherwise I would suggest something else like SFX. [The first picture I tried the Turquoise, it's the more greenish colour. I didn't like it, so I added the AfterMid., and came out with that, accidentally.. But ppl seemed to like it. 2nd picture is just the AfterMid., you can still see some Turq., though. I think I tried to colour over it. The blue is still prominent though, after a few washes.]

Manic PanicIts gonna fade no duh! But you have to use special shampoos and conditioners that will hold the color for longer. The stuff in them helps it keep its vibrant color. If you use normal shampoo of course its gonna fade. To shampoo the dye is like dirt and its gonna try to get rid of it. Ive used it a couple of times and it worked really well you just need certain things. (I do bleach my hair) It makes the colors really vibrant.posted Jun 24, 2009Link to this post

Color Me BadIve a hairdresser for 11 years and i honestly have to say This is one of the worst color products available. Its runny and drips everywhere and it fades within days. The color is super bright the first day but once you wash it once it gets dull and gross. I would never recommend this to anyone.
