DemiHairBlondeNormal HairColor Treated HairIts Not The Best. But Its Not The Worst.i bought the violet hair dye and the first day it was purple. but then after the first time i washed my hair it was blue. but it was a really pretty color of blue so i wasn't to mad. then the blue stayed the color it was for about a week, then the blue started to go this teal color. again it was a very nice color, but it wasn't purple. so then my hair was teal for about another week. so the colors are pretty, but they don't really match the color that they say they are. so that can be a bit frustrating when buying your dye. so i wouldn't say not to use this brand. but i wouldn't really recommend it to anyone either.posted Sep 14, 2011Link to this post

MargieFloridaDisappointed.I bought Manic Panic's pillar box red from Sally's, I have read a lot about Manic Panic, some good reviews. some bad, I decided to try it myself. Before dying my hair, I bleached it, twice. It was a goldish color. When I put the dye on, I thought the color was going to come out really good. But I noticed how it didn't stain my hands as much as other dyes did, which I was happy about, but it also didn't stain my hair very well either. -_- I left it in for two hours, I rinsed it out, only using conditioner. Just about ALL the color came out. So, I waited a day, and used the rest of it hoping it would work, but still, the color didn't stay. I hated it. I got Splat from Walgreens and it worked a MILLION times better. It was also cheaper. I will never waste my money on Manic Panic again.posted Dec 28, 2010Link to this post

Lola B.CaliforniaHairLight BrownColor Treated HairFine or Thin HairBest Hair Dye In The World!I've been using Manic Panic for about 15 years now, & I've gotta say it's the best semi-permanent hair dye out there! The colors are unmatched. Currently I'm mixing Shocking Blue and Ultra Violet together... both in the Amplified formula, and it comes out amazing! I only have to touch it up about once a month to keep it bright, and since I've been dying it blue for awhile now, it never totally fades out. Even when it does start to wash out a bit, the color still looks awesome! It never looks dull. I love all the different stages my hair goes through color wise, and my hair always look healthy and shiny. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to brighten up their 'do! There are so many colors to choose from, it's kinda hard to decide at times. :)posted Dec 3, 2010Link to this post

Jane J.HairNormal HairColor Treated HairThick or Coarse HairLove, Love, LoveI love this product! The colors come out so rich. It also leaves my hair feeling soft and gives it some shine. I would recommend it for anyone who want beautiful fun colored hair. I also use the flash lightning bleach kits and they lift my hair to a wonderful blonde before I apply the color.posted Nov 21, 2010Link to this post

TerrySydneyOld Dog-new TricksI am 70 years old and have a head of silver hair. I got tired of being invisible and decided to try to perk myself up with some purple hair. I used manic-panic on the top of my head, being careful not to get it on clothes, etc. I really like the way it brings out the color of my whole face, which can get washed out as we age. I use a brush and have gotten to be quite an expert.I have kept it away from my scalp and skin.(After all there are chemicals involved.) The impermanence is a benefit as I can plan just when I want the extra attention. Many people (old and young, men and women) have complimented me. Of course, the one's thinking "there's no fool like an old fool" are silent...not one negative comment. I am now known my great-nieces as "purple Joan". Try it. It's fun!!!!posted Mar 16, 2010Link to this post

MjWesley Chapel, FL, USAManic Panic RocksI wouldn't use anything else. Nothing else stays in like Manic Panic, or gives me such vivid and gorgeous color. It's a breeze to use, and I can save whatever's left over for my next use, because there are no harmful chemicals in it that would cause it to explode in my cabinet like other hair colors!

AlisaSomething To Keep In MindWhen dying your hair especially with reds I've also noticed they do fade really fast no matter what red for which brand, even for level 3 it still washes out a lot. Though to keep healthy hair your actually not suppose to wash it every day. So that's a good way to keep the color in longer. I wash my hair every other day or every couple of days. Yes it's good to have clean hair but your hair also does need the oils that produce naturally. When it comes to dying hair also everyone's hair reacts differently to different brands of dye. I've used raw in the past and that brand is pretty excellent. I'm going to try manic panic for the first time. I'm pretty sure I'm going to do the vampire red, although I do like the rock n roll red.posted Oct 10, 2009Link to this post
