John Frieda Precision Foam Colour

CarolynHairBlondeNormal HairColor Treated HairNo Longer Blonde!I had been using another hair coloring product, and my hair was light ash blonde. I wanted to try the new foam product and chose 9A "Light Ash Blonde", assuming that the result would be a similar shade or perhaps even a little lighter.
I followed the package instructions; the application was easy and less messy than many other hair coloring products. So far, so good --BUT this product significantly darkened my hair so that I can't even classify it as blonde. It is now brown and this was not, I repeat NOT the intended result. My hair is several shades darker than any of the colors shown on the box. I feel that this product was severely misrepresented. I would hate to see what color would result from choosing a medium or dark shade of blonde.
I will be heading to the store today to find a product that will hopefully restore my formerly blonde hair. Needless to say, it won't be John Frieda.

VickiHairBlondeNormal HairThick or Coarse HairColor Not Right!Wish I had visited this site prior to Friday. I actually liked the foam application, however the color on the box and how it turned out was terribly wrong! I went looking for a dark blonde and got brown which looks very bad when you started out strawberry blonde!!posted Dec 17, 2011Link to this post

VickyHairBlondeNormal HairColor Treated HairPackage PerfectI have been using hair color of one sort or another for many years to either highlight my hair or to cover the beginnings of gray. The color worked OK until the gray began it's brutal attack a few years ago. Trying different shades and tones of products that promised to cover my gray, and being careful not to use too often, the gray always managed to rear it's ugly head. I was becoming very frustrated. I had noticed John Frieda's haircolor on the shelves (I had been using J.F.sheer blonde shampoo for several years) at the store, but was afraid to change products for fear of "green" or frizzy or NO HAIR at all! However, knowing that I would eventually try it anyway out of sheer curiosity. I made the plunge! I picked the same shade that I had used of another product, (X-tra light natural blonde), hoping that would alleviate any mishaps. The results were nothing short of amazing!! The foam was easy to apply and odorless. Better than that, the color was gorgeous, not washed out and dull looking. It was the first haircolor that I have ever used that actually looked like the color on the box! My hair was soft and shiny and I loved the conditioner I could actually run my fingers thru it. Along with using the sheer blonde strengthening shampoo, my hair has never been more beautiful! I never was one to age gracefully, I fight it every step of the way. And now, with a little help from John Frieda I will!posted Dec 15, 2011Link to this post

DiannaTennesseeHairDark BrownNormal HairChemically Treated HairSpottyI was expecting a lot out of this product. The product says "John Frieda Precision Foam Colour introduces a new way to color hair, as a revolutionary, non-drip foam that covers every strand perfectly, so you are assured of shiny, natural-looking results." i dyed my hair dark brown and it is a splotchy, streaky mess. I completely saturated all of my hair and it looked as foamy as it did on the instructions. For the amount i paid it should have worked better.posted Dec 6, 2011Link to this post

JenniferTNHairBlondeNormal HairOily HairDry HairCurly HairColor Treated HairFine or Thin HairThick or Coarse HairChemically Treated HairEasy To Use, Pretty Color, Does Not Cover GreysI love the ease of using this mousse color. For the first time, I felt I got even color all over. I am a dishwater blonde that colors medium (9 natural) blonde and sometimes self highlights. The color is very pretty and is holding up well. The color treatment left my hair very full and healthy and the conditioner that comes with it (generous size) keeps it soft and nice. My one complaint is this color did NOTHING to hide my few little grey hairs at the part right at my forehead so I had to dip into my L'Oreal root color touch up and get those. That was aggravating. But overall I like this color. I don't know if I'll use it again, if it stays nice and bright for a few more weeks, I would and just commit to the root rescue for my few greys.posted Nov 29, 2011Link to this post

KarsonHairBlondeNormal HairNope. This color looks nothing on my hair like it does on the box. Not even close. I've been many different types of blonde ranging from caramel to strawberry. I've dyed my hair countless times and I'm a huge John Frieda fan. So much so that when I saw the end result, I immediately assumed that I had made a mistake somehow or that the color inside was switched with a different color.
This was not the case.
The only thing I can think of as far as where there was a possible error (other than when creating this product) is where the instructions say not to shake up the foam container. Maybe the developer didn't get mixed properly with the color so it didn't end up on my hair? I don't know. I've used other foam hair color before and they've worked just fine. Either way, I will not be purchasing this ever again. I will stick to my four times cheaper hair color that actually delivers.
Also, I was so excited to dye my hair this color that I went out on Black Friday. I'm a college student and I can't afford to go to a salon and even this $12 dye is a little pricey. Because of these circumstances, I'm almost tempted to end my usage of John Frieda products altogether... By the way, the color I ended up with was dark dark brown. Like a dark chocolate color. My hair prior to this was dirty blonde.posted Nov 25, 2011Link to this post -
AngieHairDark BrownDry HairThick or Coarse HairRelaxed HairChemically Treated HairSo Far....the Best One In The Market....I researched the product and read a lot of the reviews before
I got it. After trying so many brands and damaging my hair to the extend that I had to cut it all off to a "Halle Berry lenght", I decided to try this one, anyway the only thing left was going "Britney Spears-meltdown hair cut" if it didn't work. I have coarse hair, a lot of it, I relaxed it and thanks to my generics, I have premature gray hair-early 30's and 40% grays-...So far this is the best product in the market: color is perfect, this is the best natural dark brown out there, it realy looks natural, my hair is not dry after application, and it's easy to use-if you know how to read the instructions. I just hope that "somebody" in the company does not decide to justify his/her $alary and change or alter anything within the product. I'm tying to avoid the "Morticia look".posted Nov 16, 2011Link to this post -
MaryHairBlondeFine or Thin HairAbsolute Misrepresentation Of The Expected Color On The Box!!Sure wish I had read the 1 star reviews before I colored my hair this morning. Box showed that medium blonde hair would darken to strawberry blonde, the color of my youth. Wow was this wrong!!!! I colored for the recommended 20 minutes for short hair and now have chocolate brown hair not the bright copper penny shade I was anticipating. Going to spend my Saturday free time (what little I have) hunting down a way to strip this product out of my hair.posted Nov 12, 2011Link to this post

JaniceHairMedium BrownColor Treated HairFine or Thin HairNatural CoverageI was hesitant to try a foam because I worried that the coverage would be flat and dimensionless. I tried Natural Medium Brown and the results were a shiny, natural brown. I have a few white hairs at my hairline which look golden brown and the rest of the coverage matches the color indicated on the box. The color matches my natural hair color so well that there are never tell-tale roots... except for those pesky white hairs.posted Nov 1, 2011Link to this post

PatNJ/NCHairBlondeColor Treated HairThick or Coarse HairPerfect ColorI received a free coupon in the mail and decided to try it. I did use a couple other foam coloring products but this one was the easiest to use without dripping and the gloves fit perfectly so you could feel what you were doing.
The color came out perfect but not sure if I should have left it on longer than 30 minutes as the darker roots looks like they needed more time.
All in all I will use this again!!!!posted Sep 28, 2011Link to this post
