SaraSt. Paul, Minnesota, USAHairBlondeVery Impressive! My hair is naturally blonde (Scandinavian decent), and I have been dying it black after I had an "oops" with red hair dye for about eight months now. I got sick of the touch-ups every month, so I wanted to go back to a shade close to my natural. I tried to put blonde highlights in my hair, but the black wouldn't budge. I did some research and found One 'n Only Colorfix online, read the reviews, and ordered it. The smell is not that bad. I found it to be less pungent than perm solution, but stronger than hair dye. I used it only once on my hair for only 20 minutes, skipped step 3 (I used my own deep conditioner), and it lightened a significant amount! I am totally impressed with this product! The pictures I included are of my hair AFTER I used the product. It was pitch black before.

YvetteSan Jose CaThis Should Be A Girls Bestfriend!I absolutely love this stuff! it is amazing it works so well i have been dying my hair since i was 12 every color literally... like most girls Ive gone to high end salons and hated the job they did when trying to strip black hair color out, i wish they knew about this product insted of using bleach my hair has never been damaged by this stuff i will continue using it. * points of advice that i learned from experience are that once you strip the color and you dye it right after wait a couple of days or so and choose a lighter color than your desired because your hair is so thirsty and dry it will absorb colors deposited to hair very fast and make it dark again, but it will fade out eventuallyposted Sep 12, 2009Link to this post

LizzieKenner, LAHairColor Treated HairHelp!!i have been bleaching and coloring my hair blonde for years. Last year i bleached it and it turned orange yellow and i ran out of money and bleach so half of my head was not done. So instead of dealing with the embaressment of having three colors in my hair (blonde, yellow, light brown) i dyed my hair black but it was goth black like way past jet black. I have 2 boxes of colorfix and i tested a strand of my black and it turned brown after 20 mins step 1 &2 only washed out with paul mitchel clarifying shampoo and dryed it. it looks brown but i think this may be the section i ran out of bleach for before the black dye. what should i do?? will my hair show up as a bunch of colors when i use colorfix? i also have a ffew boxes of bleach just in case. has anyone used this for black hair dye with bleach under the black???!! HELP!!posted Aug 30, 2009Link to this post

Steph_brandon@hotmail.comLawrence KansasHairColor Treated HairFrom The View Of A Professional Stylist.Im writing this in response to many posts before me. I use this product on a daily basis. It is a non-bleach formula (meaning it will not touch your NATURAL color molecules and turn your hair orange) Here are some pointers on using this products:- One user said not to use step three, this is what dries out your hair. The step one and two product opens your cuticle to let the artificial color molecules out to oxygenate. Step three will close the cuticle back up. if you dont use this, all the moisture will escape your hair and make if feel dry. For best results, let your hair air dry before applying it and make sure you shampoo out the step one and two solution twice with preferably a clarifying shampoo before you apply step three.-It clearly states this product doesnt fully work on semi/demi permanent color. Meaning, the non permanent dyes have much much bigger molecules of color, therefore, it cannot escape as easily and they are not formulated to be used with peroxides (like permanent colors) therefore cannot be oxygenated (which is what this product does) It also doesnt work well with cheap shelf color (nice n easy) since most of those colors are metals. Using this on metal dyes will fry your locks. -Apply the heat of a blow dryer for the full 20 minutes to open the cuticle of your hair even more. - This product will return your hair to its previous lightest state. meaning, if you had bleached highlites a few months ago and then covered them up with an all over color, those highlites will be back because all deposited color has been removed.posted Aug 19, 2009Link to this post

ChelseaTXHairColor Treated HairBarely WorkedI tried Colorfix to get a manic panic red out of my hair that was put over a permanent orange color. I left it in for the allotted time, and when I rinsed it out my hair was light at the roots where I first applied it and the rest of my hair barely changed, only turning even pinker. Now I'm off to buy a bleach because this didn't "colorfix" my hair at all.posted Aug 19, 2009Link to this post

AnonFt Worth TexasHairColor Treated HairLove ThisIve been using this product on all my friends ever since discovering its amazingness last year. I too left out the processing lotion step. I am a natural level 4, dyed my hair a level 3 and desperately wanted to be a level 9 blonde. HA! With the help of colorfix a box of blonde and some bleach I achieved it. Ive gone back to brown now but I was happy to be able to play with the blonde for a while. Only put your all-over color on for a few minutes, like no longer than it takes to apply and then immediately rinse it out. It grips really quickly!! Weve found that adding highlights really sets off the new lighter color as you can tell through my 2nd and 3rd pictures.

Crystal HHairMedium BrownColor Treated HairColorfix Saved My Hair!!A few months ago my dermatologist told me I was allergic to hair dye, and that Id have to switch to henna. I had a bad reaction on my scalp which turns out was from my shampoo and conditioner and not the hair dye, but by the time hed realized his mistake Id already made the switch.I was using Lush henna, and I hated it. My hair wouldnt grab the colour, itd fade super quick, and eventually I started chemically dyeing over it. I had to keep colouring every 3-4 weeks to maintain my medium-dark brown hair, as it wouldnt hold over the henna. Finally, I got sick of it. After much research I came to the conclusion that I was going to bleach out the henna. I strand tested on my hennad hair extensions as well as a chunk of my own hair with good results. Two hours later I had tons of beautiful blonde highlights, but terrible roots! The bleach had bled through the cap and my roots looked like leopard spots.I tried to re-bleach in the highlights, and my hair where it had been roots + henna (so therefore the henna got to my hair before chemical dye) turned green. In a panic I drove to my local beauty supply store, where she suggested I put a chocolate blonde dye over it, which looked to be around a 6.5n or so.It turned fire engine red.Sobbing, I called around and discovered theres a Sallys in the next city over, and immediately drove there and grabbed colour fix.I used the whole kit in two consecutiye 25 minute treatments after a strand test, and it not only sucked the red out in the first 20 minutes, but it actually took out about 90% of the green from the henna. After the second treatment, I actually used the processing lotion. I strand tested, wondering how big of a difference it would be, and I didnt mind getting some of the dark back in my hair.. I just didnt want green anymore!!The processing lotion actually helped immensely. 98% of the green is gone from my hair, and Im pretty sure Im the only one who notices whats left. After the colourfix my hair was left a pretty cool blonde shade, which my boyfriend loves. Ill probably dye over it with some 6n ion colour brilliance dye I picked up with the colorfix, but in the meantime he wants to enjoy having his first blonde girlfriend! lolColorfix is officially a life saver. In the two photos Ive attached, the first is the awful red it turned to, and the second is the morning after, with it nicely blonde. My hair also doesnt feel terrible at all. I did a deep conditioning treatment for ten minutes after washing out the colorfix, and while my hair still reeks, it feels fantastic. Im going to try some peppermint conditioner later tonight and see if that takes out the smell and in the meantime Im covering it with perfume. Yes the smell is horrid, but its entirely worth it!posted Aug 11, 2009Link to this post
