Leonor Greyl, a hair care specialist, reveals her secrets for obtaining the best results when shampooing.

    Step 1: Pre-Shampoo

For beautiful hair shampoo for a minimum of of 5 minutes to gain maximum benefit from the products. Before shampooing, you should gently brush through and untangle your hair.

    Step 2: The Shampoo

After brushing as indicated above, wet your hair. Place a small amount (more if hair is long) in the palm of your hand and rub between both hands. Then place your fingers on the scalp and massage lightly in circular motions(lather is minimal). Repeat this operation by adding small amounts of water each time in order to have a good foaming effect. If you wash your hair everyday one application is sufficient, otherwise two applications are required.

    Step 3: The Rinse

It is necessary to carefully rinse your hair. Rinse thoroughly and gently with luke warm water. To know if you have sufficiently rinsed, the hair should squeak between your fingers. Finish by rinsing with cold water to activate blood circulation and increase shine.

  • Pricey Yes....but It Turns My Middle-aged Locks As Soft As A Child's 5 Star Rating
Got a sample of this French-made shampoo in an order of cosmetics and used the entire packet (two shampoos) in one wash. I had been having issues with my shoulder length fine, highlighted and graying hair. For a couple of years it seemed that no matter what product I used or how long I stood rinsing, my hair seemed to get dirty faster (started to look oily and separate after a day and a half, necessitating washing every other day) and I never felt like I got everything "out" when I rinsed. I had been using high end products like Nexxus for color treated hair. I couldn't believe that at age 52 I was still dealing with an oily scalp.

My hair looked and felt so different after using this shampoo for the first time. It doesn't lather like most shampoos (seems to be the way of formulas that use a lot of all natural ingredients and not a lot of chemicals). Fragrance doesn't do anything for me but it doesn't bother me either. But I loved the way my hair looked, whether air dried or blow dried. Shiny, soft, light, not weighed down by any heavy waxes or oils.

Because it is so expensive I'm trying to space it out and not use it every shampoo. I like to occasionally use a clarifyin shampoo (Suave has an excellent one) and I noticed at my last cut and style that my salon uses Kerastase products, and I like the way they make my hair feel for days afterward.

If money's not an issue, this is a great, gentle everyday poo. If money is an issue, it's best used on occasion.

  • Bain Vitalisant B Shampoo - It's An A+ 5 Star Rating
Bain Vitalisant B Shampoo The best shampoo! If you have dry, color-treated hair (who doesn't I ask?) this is the shampoo for you. Although it's more expensive than I usually spend, it's well worth it. It keeps my hair shiny, soft and my color really seems to last, and last, and last I use this every other day on my hair and can honestly say it has improved the look and feel of my hair. Thx Leonor Greyl!
