EmilyTexasAfrican American HairIm not sure if I should buy this product. I hate relaxers so I went natural. I like the texture of my hair but its very thick. I like to keep it long but it tangles when I wash my hair and breaks off. My texutre has some tight curls, kinkiness and some loose, straighter strands. I want my curls but I want all the same pattern and a little flat. Im hairy so when my hair is out I look like a lion. I always keep my tied up. Can anyoen suggest anything? Do you think I should set the curl by rolling my hair into ringlets and then apply ONO solution? I think if I just use the solution without setting it that it will take out the curls I like and make my hair like a relaxer...straight, fizzy, and puffy...basically a straight afro.posted Mar 22, 2009Link to this post

LeahDayton, OhioOne N' Only!!I had naturally pin straight hair. Last September, I decided to get a lose, wavey perm. Once that fell out I decided to get a little tight perm...it looked awful. I was not going to wait a year plus to have the perm grow out, so when I found this product I was ecstatic! I used the normal formula last night and kept it on as long, if not longer, than the directions suggested. My hair is completely straight and back to the way it naturally was. This product is AWESOME if you are a sufferer of a bad perm!!posted Jan 26, 2009Link to this post

HeidiGriffin, GAGreatGreat for removing unwanted curl. Know that, it DOES NOT remove all of the curl, it turns it into a wave pattern. The only way to remove all of the curl is to use a stronger permanent wave solution, and use it in the same method. And in that case, it would would be terribly frizzy.posted Nov 24, 2008Link to this post

ShannaSan Francisco, CaliforniaHairCurly HairDyed Ethnic/ Curly Hair...I was sooo scared to use this product because of the mixed reviews.I purchased the the box for color-treated hair and I left on the product for approx 20mins. However, I did not brush the product all the way through.Big mistake...The results the top is wavy/ nearly straight and the ends are bone straight. Unfortunately because I did not brush the product all the way through the middle is sill pretty curly.Nonetheless, I love this product. It deflated my hair which has been big and unmanageable for most of my life.I believe in this product and I plan to use it again, and to brush it all the way through next time.Like I said I was very skeptical about this product and interestingly enough I have had less breakage in my hair since using it. Moreover, I have actually saved money because I use 1/10 of the hair products I used to use in my hair.I absolutely recommend this product to anyone who has very curly hair it will leave you with more manageable, longer, & wavier hair than you had before.posted Nov 12, 2008Link to this post

AnonymousNewport, Rhode IslandHairCurly HairOne 'n Only Curl RemoverI was extremely hesitant to use this product...but after reading many reviews and doing some research, I decided to do ahead with it. I bought the tinted formula because I have highlighted hair. I have curly hair which I do blow dry and straighten almost every day. I enlisted the help of my friend to do the treatment. It smells HORRIBLE. But anyway, after I washed out step 2 and lighted conditioned it, I did see a significant difference; my hair was a lot straighter (and took less time to style) but it is so unbelievably dry. It wasnt nearly as soft as it normally was and it seems very brittle. I think Im going to book a deep conditioning treatment at the salon or do a conditioning treatment at home. I sort of regret doing it, but Im going to see how it turns out with the deep conditioning. I would not use this product again.posted Nov 11, 2008Link to this post

PaulinaChicago, ILDidn't WorkIm a bit surprised about these great reviews. Perhaps I should have kept this on a bit longer or used more b/c I really didnt see any difference. My hair was definitely more dry and damaged after I used it (though it was kind of damaged before). I didnt want to post 1 star just in case I did something wrong, but, for me, nothing changed.posted Aug 20, 2008Link to this post

Well today i went out and bought it after mustering up the courage to do so. I applied it as the instructions said and.....I am so pleased!!!I just saved myself 500 dollars by purchasing a 7 dollar product. Definitely recommend!posted Aug 7, 2008Link to this post

SarahHairCurly HairDid Nothing!! Hair Is Worse NowI am white, and have coarse, very curly hair that gets EXTREMELY frizzy esp in the nyc summer humidity. Finally having had enough of it, I decided to buy this product. First, I should mention, I read every single review. Seeing as they were almost all very positive, I decided I should give it a try.Well I just finished using it, my hair looks just as curly if not curliER, and its super damaged. During the process, the curl wasnt really going away, but I thought that my hair is very very curly, and at least hopefully Id get frizz control out of this stuff. Nope. Instead my hair is extremely dry and underwent a lot of breakage. Great.Id say save your money, but seeing as its so cheap, Ill say save your HAIR. Dont buy this product. I just wish I could have my old curls back.posted Jul 7, 2008Link to this post

Terri ToscaniDurham, NCWent From Prof. Straightening To Home! Great!I, like others, was terrified to use this super cheap home product. I bought it and held onto it for weeks. FINALLY I went ahead and tried it (after reading all 135 reviews...2-3 times). I did the curl remover for highlighted hair. I NEVER do strand tests or anything when I color, but I DID do a section of my head with this product. Ive always paid $275 for professional straightening...every 3-4 months. Going from $275 to $5.99 was a frightening step (but..Jheri Redding makes it, so I knew it had to be good). After the test, I felt comfortable, so I went ahead and did the whole thing. I washed my hair with a reconstructing shampoo (Grund) and afterwards, sprayed it with Grund moisture mist (leave in conditioner). I left the ONO product on for 12 minutes. I think next time, Ill leave on for the full 15 mins. I have frizzy, naturally curly (if you want to call it that) hair. Very dry, and very highlighted with foils. So I was freaking about possibly having breakage and stuff. BUT, I flat iron my hair EVERY day, so I figured it couldnt be any worse than that! To my amazement...my hair air dried and it was pretty flat. Not PIN straight, but the bulk and the frizz was gone. That poof that I hate so much...GONE. I thought Id have to hide inside for 3 days after using the product, but to my amazement...I didnt! The instructions said to style as usual, but to not pin it up or use clips. So after air drying my hair, I touched it EVER so lightly with the flat iron to ensure I didnt tug or pull. For 48 hours...no washing or anything...and today, I washed it, dried it and fixed it and Im VERY happy with it. It is soft and smooth...and it minimized the bulk by about 75%. Ill probably do it again in another few weeks (Ill have to do a little research first to ensure thats safe). Then I think after that Ill be golden. So to those who are fearful...dont be. Its fabulous, and Id use it again (I should say...I WILL use it again and again). Just make sure you use the leave-in conditioner as recommended if you have dry hair.GOOD LUCK!Terriposted Jul 3, 2008Link to this post
