Brea243AB, CanadaHairPlatinum BlondeFine or Thin HairGreat Product For Dry, Damaged Hair!Loving this line of CHI product. I always switch up my product and love when I come back around to this line. My hair is moisturized and nourished after use and I notice the added strength and shine. I have gone from bleach blonde damaged hair to healthy beautiful strong hair after a 3 week regimen. Now a redhead and using this product again my colour has held well. I'm happy :) and so are my hairs!! ;)
Also great for winter weather~ seems to deter static! nothing worse than hair sticking to your face!
Cons: Since you do need to use more I think they could make the bottle bigger. Nothing worse than having more shampoo left over than conditioner IMO. I buy two bottles of conditioner to one bottle of shampoo.posted Nov 12, 2011Link to this post -
LauraBostonHairMedium BrownFine or Thin HairFine HairI bought this product because it was the first treatment masque I had seen specifically for fine hair. As anyone with this hair type can attest, it can be difficult to find a treatment that doesn't completely weigh down fine hair or leave it filmy. However, I could tell from the very first use that this masque lived up to its promise to cater to my hair type! I hesitantly followed the instructions to apply liberally from root to tip (and as another reviewer said, it takes more product than you think it will - my hair is about armpit length) and left it on for a little over five minutes. Since then, I've left it on longer than the recommended time, but I've never seen any adverse effects. It rinsed out very cleanly and I could tell from how my hair dried that there was no residue - just shiny waves!
I use this weekly to give my hair a little boost! I will say, though, that I don't color or heat-style my hair, so I can't vouch for how effectively it fixes damage caused by those factors. But as far as keeping fine hair residue-free and nourished - this product is a winner!posted Oct 20, 2011Link to this post -
Celia V.Chicago, ILHairPlatinum BlondeDry HairCurly HairColor Treated HairFine or Thin HairChemically Treated HairThe Best Wash-out Leave-in EverI'm universally harsh on conditioners. Since I chemically color treat on a regular basis to a more porous blonde, the true test of a conditioner is whether or not it's takes away that hard, moussed-out post-salon feeling. I can always restore my hair health within two days, the question is whether I can do it in the hour. I've been on the lookout for a replacement leave-in and the market is super flooded with wash-out, leave-ins.
Normally wash-out leave-ins don't do the trick for me and it's back to masques and patience. But I am a fan of Chi's products (save the straighteners which I used to swear by but switched to Sedu) and caught an interest in this leave-in. I've used it four times now, twice with shampoo and twice without (including after my last color fix). I'm already beyond pleased.
It's not unusual for me to love a conditioner in one go-round, giving the appearance of a healthier cuticle by flattening it. I know this works because even when washed out, my breakage not only looks better but is definitively not happening as much. No splits on combs, no sizzle with a straightener, no redness with a blow-out. It also isn't limp at all. Nice and fluffy and bouncy.
Normally I review with pros and cons. I can't really nail down exact cons for this one. The smell is pleasant but not strong so depending on the person that may or may not be a pro. For me it is. It also seems to require fairly generous amounts. But that isn't a product mislead since it states exactly that on the labeling. There's also a generous helping in the bottle and generous use isn't killing my wallet because of this. The biggest pro is my non-cycle shedding has stopped and my color looks extra vibrant. Folica's deal on it is great, too!
Normally I'm one of those people who follows the directions on a bottle a couple of times, doesn't have results, and has to extend the time spent on scalp. That isn't a good thing. But I follow the directions to a T for this- Apply evenly and generous, massage into scalp, leave on for a simple 5-minutes (THANK YOU CHI, YOU CUT MY SHOWER TIME SO FAR DOWN!), emulsify using a little lukewarm water, and follow with a sealing cold-splash.
This is a beautiful, beautiful product.posted Jul 22, 2011Link to this post -
JenniferHairBlackFine or Thin HairChemically Treated HairGreat Product!I have fine hair and dye it once a month. This product does a wonderful job of treating my hair after what I do to it! I use it about once a week, and it really softens my hair, I have less flyaways, and just seems healthier afterwards. I definitely love this product.posted Jun 14, 2011Link to this post
