Ingrid DaliciaDurham, NCUnbelievable!!!I am an African-American female with thick, kinky, course, beautiful hair. After nearly a year of growing my hair in its natural unaltered state, I decided to get a relaxer. I asked the "experienced stylist" for a Mizani which she told me she did not use. Trusting her judgment and expertise, I allowed her to use another brand of relaxer product. The day I walked out of the salon three weeks ago today, I was happy with my services. My haircut was nice and my hair was reasonably straightened. Everything was perfect... or so I thought. My first clue to the damage that had been done to my beautiful hair were the broken hairs in the sink, in my comb, on my clothes, everywhere! At first I thought that this was normal with newly relaxed hair. However, once I began to inspect the broken hairs I noticed split ends, hair that snapped when pulled. I nearly cried! I paid someone 85 US dollars to basically ruin my hair! I tried getting in touch with the stylist with no luck. I even called my homies stylist who didnt have an immediate opening. In the meantime, I still had to go out in public. As a last try, I decided to spend about 25 US dollars on ApHOGEEs two part protein treatment. After only ONE use, my hair has stopped breaking completly. This is worth every dime!!!posted Feb 16, 2009Link to this post

MelissaChicago, ILResults On The First Try!A friend of mine had recommended this product to me, so naturally I checked it out on here to get the best deal and read customer reviews. Naturally, after reading mixed reviews about the product, I was a little concerned that I would be wasting my money on yet another product that did little to nothing for my damaged hair. (Im just your typical twenty-something Italian girl who colors her hair...a LOT!) I was also worried that this so-called "Terror Smell" would totally turn me off from the product. Well...my worries were TOTALLY out of line. Sure, it doesnt smell like flowers and fruity goodness, but its NOT AS BAD AS EVERYONE SEEMS TO SAY. Someone had compared it to rotting cat litter...and thats totally exaggerated. I used the product exactly as directed (Aphogee shampoo for damaged hair, treatment, hand dryer, rinse, balancing moisturizer) and followed it up with the Aphogee Gloss Therapy afterward for styling purposes. And I have to say, my hair hasnt felt this amazing in YEARS. Im not exaggerating. My hair felt stronger. It felt HEALTHIER and it was shiny like it hadnt been in a very long time. Results like this after only ONE use...well theyre downright encouraging! I absolutely plan on keeping this product combination as a permanent staple in my hair care routine!!posted Feb 11, 2009Link to this post

TiamareeaDET MIThe Best Everi work at salon and this the only treatment i recommend, it only make sense, your hair is protein and protein is the only thing that can bind to hair and prevent breakage, No oils No conditoner, only protein. Just remember too much potein can dry ur hair out dont use more than twice a month and always use a rich conditoner after the aphogee treatment, ive used it for over 6 year and Im afican american with thick past shoulder length hair and people ask me all the time what i use to make my hair healthy and i alweays them aphogee.posted Jan 30, 2009Link to this post

AngelChicago BurbsHairCurly HairStops Breakage ImmediatelyI am multi-racial and have very thick, curly hair. A few years ago I stopped using chemicals in my hair and probably have about 1 more inch left to cut so that my hair is completely relaxer free (... please dont ask me why I use to relax my hair). At any rate, its now past my shoulders. HOWEVER... Since its been very cold here, I dont have the time in the morning to let my hair air dry. I was using a blow dryer every day or flat ironing here and there to straighten my hair on a regular and the ends were breaking off badly. Im trying to grow my hair out so that I can wear my hair naturally curly most of the time but if you have curly hair, you know it looks much better if its longer and has weight to hold it down... I tried Aphogee treatment for damaged hair and combed my NATURAL hair out this morning... I think there were TWO hairs that broke off... TWO... as opposed to at least 20 to 30 on a regular basis. My hair felt immediately stronger and yes...the smell is atrocious but its worth it. I was told by three different stylist that you NEED to use the Aphogee balancing conditioner to restore the PH balance to the hair. Its not suppose to be a moisturizing conditioner... you can use your own favorite moisturizing conditioner afterwards. My question is... how often can I apply this treatment to my hair without having too much protein buildup? Every 4 weeks? Any suggestions????posted Jan 23, 2009Link to this post

Danielle LeeChicago, IllinoisExcellent Protein TreatmentI been using this product for over a year now. If you having breakage, ill immediately stop after the 1st treatment. If not, u definitely doing something WRONG! Ive used the 2 step treatment with or without the other products. Important the u rinse out thoroughly and soften with a conditioner. Excellent product.posted Dec 9, 2008Link to this post

JamieSeattle,waLoves It!I am sooo glad that I stumbled upon aphogee. I recently had a color correcter and bleach done on my hair. It was sooo damaged- course feeling, and split ends sticking out all over the place. I used this just once, and it was immediately MUCH healthier. It smoothed down all of the crazy hairs sticking out all over, and I did not see ANY more breakage afterward. The conditioner is just alright, nothing special, and actually not very moisturizing; but the protein treatment is WONDERFUL. Even if it does stink. Its worth it.posted Nov 28, 2008Link to this post

HairmavenCamden, NJThe First Time's The CharmI love this product. Before I tried Aphogee protien treatment, I read Ultra Black Hair Growth II and the product reviews. It worked wonderfully and I noticed a significant difference right away. I had less shedding and virtually no breakage. Before, I had little hairs all over my sink when I comed my hair. The key is to follow the directions explicitly. The smell is not as bad as some other products Ive tried so dont be put off by it. Its a small sacrifice to make for great hair. Also, you must moisturize your hair when youre finished the treatment (and every day for that matter). I like Elasta QP mango butter moisturizer because its not too heavy and its water-based. I apply it in the morning and at night and my hair is still bouncy and light.posted Nov 7, 2008Link to this post

CeceCharlotte, NCVery Good! This product is the best! I thought when it started to harden that i had made a mistake by putting it into my hair but i washed it out and followed it with the aphogee moisturizer and my hair breakage stopped instantly! I used to have hair all over my clothing when i combed it or wven touched it but now there is barely a single hair in my comb when i comb it. This is great. Ive never had any products that have worked this quickly. The only complaints i have is that this product is very liquid like and may run all over the place but i am definely willing to deal with this because this product is amazing!posted Nov 4, 2008Link to this post
