#1 Gel For Curly Hair!Let me start out by saying I'm a product junkie. I've tried (and continue to try) almost every product out there, from cheap to most expensive, and as far as an everyday gel/lotion goes for curly hair, this is by far the best product out there. I have a lot of hair that is practically a barometer (seriously, though, you can tell the humidity level by looking at tightness of the curl in my hair!) and this product separated, defines, and holds my hair all day long. I put it in roots to ends while my hair is wet, comb it through, part my hair as I would like, and then add some more in as a style/define/twirl my hair around my fingers. I can go all day and my hair keeps its shape-if it starts to lose it at all or it's a very humid day and i notice a little frizz, all I need to do is add some water and voila, all smooth again! Sometimes, when I'm feeling creative/perfectionist-like, I use a smoothing hairspray and some shine spray over it, but nothing is needed in addition to this gele gloss for every day wear. People with curly hair stop me all the time asking what products I use and are shocked when I tell them its Rusk Gele Gloss for only $13!
Needless to say, if you are looking for a great, easy product to define, smooth and hold your wavy to curly hair that is well priced (dare I say super cheap?!) and easy to use, this is for you! You can also use it in your wet hair before straightening; it really gives it some light volume and texture.

Great Product!This is called a "lotion" but it is actually a gel...great for all around use. My hair is very curly and this is perfect for it because it's not heavy and takes the place of a frizz serum. It also makes my hair smooth and shiny for when I straighten. On the bottle it says to use for added shine after styling, but I don't recommend that for hair types like mine (it made my hair feel dry).posted Feb 16, 2011Link to this post
