It's in the form of a serum that softens dry ends and smooths frizz. It's kind of heavily fragranced. I think it smells fresh and clean, but if you don't like heavy scents, you may not like this one. "love It"I have been using Chi Silk Infusion for years now and I even use it on my two small daughters' hair as well. It makes your hair super soft and shiny and it is especially great when using a flat iron on your hair. Every time I go to the beauty shop, I am told that my hair feels like silk and I am always ask what do I use on my hair. Will Surpass Expectations Especially....This is an outstanding product. I have virgin hair which is coarse, dry and beyond curly. When this product is combined with the Nourish Intense Shampoo and conditioner, also by CHI, the results are amazing. Very little goes a long way, and the shine and softness that this product produces is phenominal. Smells Like Strong, Old Man CologneAlthough this did the job, the smell made me nauseous. It smells like old man cologne, and the smell does not fade. I read the reviews on here complaining about it and I remember thinking, "Oh suck it up, it can't be that bad." No no. No amount sucking up could overcome the smell.

Only thing I thought was kinda weird was the scent, it by no means stinks just smells different.
