ChristinaSan DiegoHairMedium BrownCurly HairMakes My Hair Amazing Every Time!this product took a few times to figure out how much i should use each time. so i eased into it by combining it with another product i liked. now i just use this(only have to use a little) and it makes my hair hold the way i like, with no crunch but with definition. and it smells wonderful. it's a bit pricey. that's the only thing i don't love about it.posted Dec 7, 2010Link to this post

DianaTucson, AzHairLight BrownDry HairCurly HairColor Treated HairFine or Thin HairCurly In Dry ClimateI didn't use this in a very consistent way, however it seemed to make my hair really curly. Which I guess is what one would expect from a "curl enhancing serum". It continued to stay curly all day. The first time I used it later in the day I took a nap and got sweaty and the humidity from my sweat enhanced the curl too. That seems pretty amazing to me actually.
Unfortunately I don't really want tighter curls I just want curls that hold/stay together. I went with the Devines defining invisible styling cream because it gave me the results I wanted in a really consistent way.
I really like the smell of this product - it is subtle and nice. Not floral or heavy. Someone wrote that it was sticky in another review. That was not my experience. They are both a little slick but that is what I would expect from "serum" and "protective fluid". I also don't curl iron, or heat up my hair very much - not sure if that variable would change things.posted Nov 5, 2010Link to this post -
KathyKyI love this product. I have curly hair and agree with the review that it is important to use just a little.posted Sep 28, 2009Link to this post

CristiCaliforniaHairCurly HairAwesome For Fine, Natural Curly HairI have very fine, naturally curly hair that is easily weighted down. Unlike the other reviewers, I LOVE this product--and trust me, I have tried them all. But, I found that when and how I apply this to my hair makes all the difference. I must use only a very small amount and apply mostly to the ends with my fingers, then work it through the rest of my hair, staying away from the roots. The most important part is that my hair must be very wet. If it is too towel-dried, it doesnt work as well. Just diffuse and dont mess with the curls too much. The volume and hold lasts all day--but is not stiff or sticky. Best product line ever! BTW...The Illuminating shampoo and conditioner is fabulous for delicate, color-treated hair.posted Feb 7, 2009Link to this post

TamaraToronto, CanadaMixed ResultsI love Davines products and most of them are amazing. However I could not recommend this product, because I havent found it to be effective. I asked my hair stylist, whose salon uses Davines almost exclusively, and she said that I perhaps needed to use more because I have a lot of hair. I tried this and it did not change the fact that this product left my hair feeling heavy, and didnt really define waves or curls at all.posted Sep 24, 2008Link to this post

ErinNew Orleans, LAHairCurly HairStickyI love Davines Products - particularly their love conditioner for curly hair and shampoo. But this product makes my hair sticky and clumpy and dull and I dont really use that much. It happens whether I blow dry or dry naturally. I think I will try another product instead.posted Mar 1, 2008Link to this post
