JulieHairLight BrownChemically Treated HairWorth Paying ForHair type: long wavy, thick, partly bleached and dyed.
I used to always use Aveda shampoo, then to save money I stopped bleaching and coloring my hair and switched to Herbal essence. About 18 months later I noticed even my virgin hair was prone to tangles and dry and a bit frizzy. I also noticed I was loosing about twice as many hairs per a day as I used to. I did some research online and read that the "sulfate" in drug store shampoos strips your hair of its natural oils, and that in the long run chemicals like chlorine, sulfate, phosphate and sodium etc could cause hair loss. I tried this organic Theorie green tea shampoo and conditioner and my hair has never looked better. After my hair dried, I brushed it and there were no tangles for the first time in probably 10 years. My hair feels really soft and looks way better. It's not frizzy and it looks shinier. ( i used to put sexy hair's argan oil on my hair for shine, but with this conditioner i don't need to). I went 3 days w/o washing my hair and it didn't look greasy or dry and it didn't smell either. After 3 days my hair still looked and felt great. I have only used the conditioner with the shampoo too. The only negative thing with this product that I can think of is that it contains cocamide DEA which is on the list of potential carcinogens. (the state of California banned shampoo containing the chemical http://consumerist.com/2013/08/27/tests-find-cancer-causing-chemical-in-98-personal-care-products/). Some sources say cocamide DEA is safe for products like shampoo which are washed off quickly. I personally am not worried about it and I will continue to use this product because of how great it makes my hair feels. It has a mild green tea scent. My boyfriend likes the smell. I recommend this conditioner to anyone who is looking for a high performing organic conditioner.3 out of 3 shoppers thought this review was helpful.
