  • This Is A Top Notch Flat Iron At A Fair Price 5 Star Rating
This is my go to flat iron. The review for FHI heat is based on a previous review of a Sedu iron.
Let me provide some perspective from the male point of view. I'm mixed racially with long (down my back) 3c hair. I normally wear my hair curly or pull it back into a masculine looking male bun or wear cornrows in the summer months. Every 4 to 6 weeks I will flat iron my hair for a different look. Prior to purchasing the Sedu, I was using the FHI 1 inch iron. Being a guy, I got tired of standing in front of the mirror for an hour flat ironing my hair and decided to try the Sedu iron since it had 1 1/2 inch plates which should speed up the process. I was not impressed with the Sedu iron. It does straighten well; however it left my hair dull looking and without shine. The FHI iron ( I already own a 1 inch FHI iron) always leaves my hair silky, soft, and shiny. Further, when you run the iron towards the ends, the ends will catch and pull whereas with the FHI the plates glide over the hair smoothly to the ends. The one good thing about the Sedu iron is that it is lightweight whereas my FHI is heavier and can tire ones arm. I returned the Sedu iron and purchased the FHI platform 1 3/4 inch iron.

I have course curly hair. I am selling my Chi. This blows any iron I have ever used away.
