CurlygirlIndianaIt gets to 450 degrees but the temperature is adjustable. I use it on the 370 setting and I have coarse wavy hair. The highest setting should only be used if you have very curly or ethnic hair or else you will burn the heck out of it.Feb 25, 2010Link to this post

Coarse Frizzy Short Hair GirlHuntington Beach, CaliforniaSolia Vs. Hai Help!I cant decide between the solia 1" or the HAI convertible 1"!!!. Because I just cut my hair really short I need a smaller flat iron so I got the T3 1" and noticed that my old Solia 1-3/4" (now too wide for my -coarse, frizzy- short hair) works MUCH BETTER so Ill return and change it for another one but since I like Solia a lot should I give the HAI a chance? and if HAI is more expensive than Solia it means is better?.Please help me!!!!Reply to this postJan 19, 2010Link to this post

Good Haircut And ConditioningI have crazy, coarse, frizzy hair so to tame it to a smooth sleek look this is what I do. First I get a great haircut. Because I have lots of volume, layers are absolutely necessary, otherwise I look like Im wearing a broom. Next, I like the Pantene Smooth and Sleek line. I use that during the week and once a week I used the Pantene Clarifying Shampoo and Deep Moisturizing Treatment. The final rinse is always with cool water. Then I dry using a good Ionic hair dryer. I like to dry upside down to create volume (now that I have a good cut) and use the cool setting at the final pass. Then I clip my hair up in sections so that I straighten the longer layers first, then do the short layers. I love this 1" Solia Tourmaline Ceramic flat iron. It heats up quickly and has the adjustable heat setting. Sometimes when I want really super-glossy hair I use Biosilk Silk Therapy after all this, but just a dab. Then I really do have "commercial" hair - just beautiful - and its really mine!Reply to this postJan 11, 2010Link to this post
