Lala1-3/4" Or 1-1/4" ModelHi, I have extremely thick, wavy hair that goes to the middle of my back. I am not sure what size of Solia I should get. I have read that the bigger ones make it harder to straigthen hair closer to the scalp. Also would it straighten my hair quicker if I had the bigger size straightner.Thanks.Reply to this postJan 19, 2010Link to this post

JenniferDoes It Last?Im trying to decide between purchasing a solia or a sedu. There is nothing in the remarks on the solia about how long it lasts. Ive seen a couple remarks about sedus only lasting about a year. Do solias last longer or is a year about the typical lifespan for a flat iron??Reply to this postJan 19, 2010Link to this post

Stephanie M.Vancouver, BCLong Lasting!I've had my SOLIA for 6 years. I use it about once a week now but when I first got it I would use it about two to three times a week. I'm a mom of three boys so not too as much time to do my hair!
I have super long hair that almost touches the small of my back and is highlighted so it gets a lot of use. It has not damaged my hair since I do not use it every day and of course always use a heat protectant spray, deep condition my hair at least once a week and baby it. So as long as you take care of your hair and your appliances, this product is beyond awesome!
No issues with quality and works just as well as the day I received it. I've actually tried many other irons and I keep coming back to my Solia. I don't even know why I bother trying other ones anymore.
The only reason I am even considering buying another one is for travel and Folica always has these awesome sales I can't resist.Oct 1, 2011Link to this post

Rachel1-3/4" Or 1-1/4" For Bobs, Flips, etcI have very thick curly hair that is about three inches past my shoulders, normally the larger the plate the better, but im wondering if anytone thinks the smaller size is better for creating large round curls bobs, flips and other hair styles. I dont like wearing my hair straight like a pin, but rather with some bounce, what do you people think is better 1-3/4" or 1-1/4"?? (Does that little measurement make all that difference??Reply to this postJan 19, 2010Link to this post

LizDiffrence?I was wondering if the 1-3/4 in. is just as good as the smaller 1-1/4 in. because it has better reviews?Reply to this postJan 19, 2010Link to this post
